Is this really a fair test when this product is marketed at independent musicians often recording in really small completely untreated rooms? The cathedral will have a much more even response as it is already a space designed to sound good and it will not have any of the low end issues associated with small rooms. The foam on your product doesn't look thick enough to handle these low frequencies so its lucky you chose to demonstrate it in such a space. 🤷♂ Can we have a test in the kind of environment we would be buying this to avoid? I bet this product would not be half as useful in an actual bedroom/unacoustically treated small room.

The early reflections in a cathedral like that would also be much later than would be experienced in a small room. The earlier first reflections of a smaller room would likely cause more issues in terms of clarity of the vocal in the context of a mix. I agree, at first glance this reduction of RT60 seems impressive, but probably not super applicable to lots of the prospective customer base.

There is an interview somewhere on YT with producer who did a Jeff beck album. He was asked what special amp Jeff used. He said Jeff wasn't fussed, just some little combo that was lying around the studio they were in with a sm57 or 58..stuck in front a few inches away so there was a bit of room ambience... That was it! Might have been a Warren Huart video on Produce like A Pro channel..

There was a noticeable difference in the kick drum mic but I reckon it was just the way it was mic'ed. Would be awesome if you all left a dropbox or something with the stems so we could see for ourselves how well these mics faired after EQ and compression etc.

They did me the same way when I DM them on Facebook. They finally replied with a indirect answer. I believe they lost their distribution deal with Auralex and others in the U.S.

That is a great question. For the moment, this is the only size we have but it's certainly something to think about for the future. We would recommend this booth currently for electric guitars, horns, brass and anything else you can fit in it!
