All kind of funny stuff.. Always interesting. Should be simpler.. Good Firm. Bow weight, point weight, arrow length... best arrow balance for speed and stability...but No. Thanks for making it look even more complicated. Lol

Just bought a BowTech Solution at this shop a few days ago. The service here is second to none. Luke hooked me up. Love this place.

Great shot! So what’s the deal with the spring rush? You put the arrow under it?

Do you make the Flemish twist Rogue bowstrings? I bought 2 from 3 Rivers and they’re awesome. If not how would I go about getting one of yours?
@ohiopremierarchery68002 ай бұрын
I do not, Rogue makes them in house. As of right now, I sell them in person out of the shop.

Had both the sx and the ss and honestly I like shooting the ss way more. Sold the sx still shooting the ss34. Will be for a few more years.

So if im pulling 58/60lb and have 150g tips then I’ll want a spine that’s 300? If im understanding you correctly? I’m still iffy on the spine grains, lower the number the stiffer it is yes? Did I get that correctly?

I know that the focus of this session was "remodeling" your hunting bow for 3D competition, and that process was certainly interesting. But what really bowled me over occurred when you were shooting "paper" indoors with the new setup. Your release-from your bow hand to the fingertips on your arrow hand-is as solid and consistent as I've ever seen on KZbin. If more traditional bowhunters understood how critically important the longevity and the minimal movement of a release like yours is, they would miss and/or wound FAR fewer deer. Maybe you could do a session on this subject in a future video? Thanks, Chris (in Maine).

If the grip is right and the dl fits and you can adjust to the string angle of a short ata bow they can be way more accurate then u would think. With the low reflex riser and higher brace height with some stabilizers this thing should be a tack driver even out at distance.

Would suggest if you struggle, then take the target off and shoot your shot at a bale and just shoot good shots, try shooting a lower power or no lens, the higher power lens helps you see the movement and the target perfectly which tends to help you assume you SHOULD BE shooting perfectly. Low power lens or no lens and focus on perfectly executed shots. The other issue tends to be that the score is the GOAL, try looking at the score as a DIAGNOSTIC of the quality of the shot - A GOOD SHOT will tend to score well (especially a good consistent shot) A POOR or inconsistent shot will tend to score LESS or at least less consistently !! Enjoy, have fun, it a game, it is not life or death !!! The targets are paper or foam !!

Please do more videos. You both are so helpful and patient with “newbies”(really a 76 year old man that just needs to exercise more) I had never, ever shot a compound bow in my life till I visited with you 01/11/24. Last real shooting was when I was a kid, a wooden 20# bow at age 10 (66 years ago) (bagged my first Pa. Buck at age 12 with a 30:30 lever action). Anyways, on a Thursday, I chatted a long time with Luke and he so patiently answered so many questions to the point I could “Google” the rest. Next day I returned and (Joe helped me so much, answered silly questions, everything) and I picked up my very first compound bow along with the few necessities that go with the “bare bow” and an Omega release (a bit pricey but we’ll worth it) and I am so pleased with all the effort you two and the young lady and another fine gentleman (sorry don’t know his name) that spent the hours helping me and making sure that Bowtech SS34 went “out the door” in the best configuration for my uses. Many, many thanks! Just writing to mention this to folks on KZbin that might see this video, if you are in the area, please see these folk for archery needs, you won’t regret it.

You said by adding weight, it bumps you up to a higher spine. I don't understand I thought by adding weight you reduce the spine?
@ohiopremierarchery68008 ай бұрын
Adding point weight will cause you to require a stiffer spine, same thing with draw weight. Hope that clears up any confusion

Did you chrono in comfort or performance?
@adamredden20078 ай бұрын
Mfjj speed tested this bow with 420 gr on performance and shot 324. He also said that while it's a little more of a dump into the valley, it wasn't more difficult than comfort.

I got my Terrain beginning of 2023. Easy to setup and tune. Build quality is ok, but not more. For example is the riser not flat on the rear stabilizer mount. As a result the side bar bracket kept coming loose again and again. Paint on the cams chips easy. Unfortunately the strings are a bummer. The yoke serving unraveld within the first 200 shots. Fixed it and went on shooting. Half a year of constant 3 D training, tournaments and so on the lower cam ate it's way half way thru the buss cable serving due to rub/contact to the module. Had to retune the bow on a regular basis every two months or so. Strings not so great, everything else is fine with this bow.

I like bowtech but I find it funny that they say their composite limb pockets are just as strong/stronger then aluminum then for their 80lb now they use aluminum pockets. I think their composite pockets are fine as I haven’t heard of any problems with them.

How much smoother is the ss34 over sr350?
@ohiopremierarchery680010 ай бұрын
Depends on comfort vs performance mod. The SR is a speed bow, so the SS is going to be far more of a consistent draw cycle, which is what most people mean when they say "smooth".
