Joe's 3D IlF Recurve Setup

In preparation for an upcoming 3D shoot, Joe goes over how he chooses his equipment and arrows in a pinch! We didn't have a ton of time to setup for a the shoot (especially since Joe was setting up two bows), and to me that sounds like most archers before they go to a shoot!
Enjoy this basic setup and equipment choice as well as a brief arrow tuning demonstration.

I know that the focus of this session was "remodeling" your hunting bow for 3D competition, and that process was certainly interesting. But what really bowled me over occurred when you were shooting "paper" indoors with the new setup. Your release-from your bow hand to the fingertips on your arrow hand-is as solid and consistent as I've ever seen on KZbin. If more traditional bowhunters understood how critically important the longevity and the minimal movement of a release like yours is, they would miss and/or wound FAR fewer deer. Maybe you could do a session on this subject in a future video? Thanks, Chris (in Maine).

What would be the difference between the sx+ (Target)and the Altai (nature)? Is it just design and more draw weight choices for the target..

Just curious, where are you measuring your brace height from on that satori riser when you say 7 1/2" way too short

You are absolutely right, Joe thought it was supposed to be 8 1/2 when we shot the video. Guess it pays to read the manual!

What are you all thoughts on the Elite Remedy?

Great all around bow, a little on the slower side, which to me doesn't matter at all unless I'm shooting IBO. Very customizable feel with the different versa mods and the adjustable let-off. Definitely an easier drawing, enjoyable shooting experience. Last year we had 3 people shooting them in the shop and each one felt totally different.

@@stephenreilly2006 Best advice, find a place to shoot em. Remedy for me if I'm looking more at target shooting with the longer ata and smoother draw. Strictly hunting id lean toward the envision. But that is my opinion and it always comes down to personal preference
