These troops will be regulated to supply missions only, Russia won't allow them to be front line, but....its a benefit to both countries.... Russia gains man power without taking away front line troops, NK gains experience and his troops are feed.....

The intel guy sees things in terms of continually gathering intelligence, and wouldn't want to blow up his intel for tactical or even strategic gains. The military commander looks it as an outstanding opportunity to eviscerate the command, control and communications of the enemy, and greatly facilitate a military operation to destroy the capacity of the enemy to fight back. Or even continue to exist in any meaningful manner. The commander appears to be correct. The middle and upper eschalons of Hezbollah are incapacitated, either dead, maimed, in hiding, or simply incommunicado. I have heard reputable sources say that 60 to 80% of the massive stockpile of rockets and missiles have been destroyed. And it appears that the IDF is methodically targeting and destroying Hezbollah assets, piecemeal, and they (Hezbollah) don't not have the capacity to resist in any sort of coordinated manner. We tend to think that faith based militant organizations cannot be defeated or destroyed, but of course they can. Ba'athism is virtually gone, and Isis is a shallow hulk. Israel is doing something I thought was impossible: they are systematically destroying Hezbollah.

Ordinary North Korean troops might not be that valuable to Russia but could free up Russians for other missions. Combat Engineers are tunneling experts and could be useful in getting past defenses in Ukrainian lines. Others might operate North Korean missile systems with control panels written in Korean. Nork commandos could be used for recon or storming Ukrainian positions. Big question is what is North Korea getting in return?

When I was a youth the world we live in now would have made the plot of an interesting science-fiction novel or maybe a Monty Python skit. The current chapter seems a mix of Peter Zeihan and Fallout. Have sanction been a bad idea and forced Russia to seek alternate international systems?. Is there a resurgence of Russian military strength and alliances of a new Axis of Evil? Are conditions setting up for an international version of the Cuban Missile Crisis (yeah, I'm that old) or still possibility of negotiation?

Perhaps the statement near the end about Israelis wanting things to "get back to normal" is a bit out of touch. No doubt ALL Israelis would love not having neighbors who operate under a government who's stated goal is the inhalation of the Jewish State, but that IS the reality in which they live. There's no way Israel can continue to exist under the threat of another terror attack like they suffered last year, and it's pretty clear most Israelis understand this means the entire dismantling of Gaza and the total defeat of the Palestinian people who, in large part, even now, continue to support the radical terrorists who permeate every layer of Palestinian life.

I think a lot of these people fail to understand pagers don’t broadcast. They only receive a return phone number. It should be remembered that the Americans strongly opposed the entry into Rafah and imposed arms sanctions on Israel. The elimination of Sinwar was not accidental, without entry into Rafah there were no forces in the field that created an opportunity for operations that resulted in the elimination of Sinwar.
