well i would like to share this building alot of decorative stuff issnt that important make it more like a maze and put elder guardians in there so mining fatigue i build a doungeon in a stronghold and the only exist was which i had access to operated totally by redstone the stronghold was under the water and the doungeon was in an anarchy server elder guarding was surprisingly easy to find it was made of black cobble and sea lanterns prison are must i used strings and water to not allow person to tp out and they wont be able to place blocks bcz of strings in that server you could tp out if you stay at 1 area for 3 second

You could do an iron maiden, with 4 iron doors a block of iron on top, and a skeleton head on the iron block, you can use cobwebs inside the doors as "spikes"

It's nice to finally see someone else who understands battlements on top of castle walls are for an actual defensive purpose. Most Minecraft tutorials I see with battlements have them too small to block enemy arrows. I guess most people think the nubs on top of castles were only for decoration.

You mentioned 6 blocks deep and a V pattern. Just curious, is that the maximum depth you can make it? And does it have to be a V pattern? I play on Switch and I made a tench 10 blocks wide and 20 deep with the intent to make a moat. I was also going to make an underground grotto. The 20x10 is tedious and my kids get mad when I play and don’t let them :) Have I wasted time thinking I can make a moat that big? I even made an underground channel from the ocean to feed my moat… thanks for the tips :)

It looks like a castle from Kingdom come deliverance, and it's a good thing (cuz castles in KCD is historically correct) UPD: The only thing lacking is double gates (one door- or bridge-like and one dropdown barred) for advanced defence. With facing down loodholes or trapdors (for hot tar, rocks and other fun stuff to drop down on besiegers) Also from defence perspective round towers are better because of higher projectile ricochet rate (but round isn't about Minecraft xD)

Could the machicolations be used with stalactites? I suppose anvils would work too, but who is Mansa Musa anyways. Great content, love the calm and clean demonstration. Sub'd.
