I just found one unrealistic part: Real walls were thicker towards the bottom. This is to ensure that its weight is put on a bigger area, otherwise it would likely sink

This is fantastic! you are possibly the first minecraft youtube builder that I've seen incorporate machicolations on a castle wall! And I've been wondering how I could add arrow slits. 10/10! ^_^

use two stairs , one pointing upwards and the other downwards with solid blocks next to where the stairs are facing

@@joynelbonetdelgado4952 not really, it's more like a window, but I'm sure you could also have slits downwards if the higher parts of the wall are protruding

@@kaninum5131 instead of an inverted stairs, i suggest you place a slabs on top so you got better view, can shoot straight down and don't fall all at once.

That 'realistic' wall is fantastic. Offsetting the top of the wall to allow machicolations without having to make them "too long" or having to extend the wall two blocks out combined with the material choice makes it good looking and usable. Great work!

Question! I've been trying to replicate the 4th wall.i have it all identical but I am curious if your murder holes actually work? Anything I pour down it gets stuck

They do not, you'd have to expand the design. Mine utilizes the gaps in stairs so its not full blocks

You need to add more height and more texture variation imo. Don't segment the walls too much, make sections larger than two blocks - once the wall gets long it can get too repetitive.

Increase the scale. It doesn't need to be overly detailed at a larger scale, break it up with pillars and think with big shapes

Those machicolations are fairly useless, since you can't aim straight down the wall. In your design attackers could hug the wall and not get hit by arrows.
