Walk down the narrow sidewalks in the city and you see a different side to them. If they are walking side by side they wont make room for you coming the other direction. You have to walk in the street where the traffic is and in the city the traffic is always moving. I spent almost a month in Angeles city and yes for the most part they are nice and kind but also seen how rude they can be. Beggars asking for money ( if a cop sees you giving them money he can arrest you and you don't want to go to their corrupt jail system).

I just watched 3 of your videos coz I was watching Sinulog videos as I miss Cebu been in Dubai for 6 years and had not celebrated Sinulog since then, And I loved your Sinulog video because for me you really explored and you really was finding your way around and your videos took me back where I was there. Where we had to go through some streets that are shortcut or even just finding a way around just to get through to the festival. I remember those days. Oh how I miss so much home. Your experience is same as our experience as well hahah since I'm not living in Cebu City area I live north side of Cebu. Going in unfamiliar territory, yes it looks scary but you know you feel safe because we are Filipinos. We always welcome anyone with friendliness and kindness. 💗💞

Please visit ILOILO DINAGYANG Festival a week after. It's also a religious cultural festival in honor of Señor Sto Niño. While Cebu Sinulog is all about elegance and graceful dances and trumpets and drums and xylophones, Iloilo Dinagyang is all about tribal dance and energetic warrior dance moves and different costumes and props and most of all thenice melodies of drumbeating drums. The sounds produced from drums and cans and bamboos is music to the ears.

Some foreigner they stick to walk in the route parade but you are different you went to an old neighborhood. I think you missed the fuente osmena circle and that circle will take you to downtown cebu which is called Colon street.
