Tips for your next sinulog: go to mango avenue, fuente and baseline. You'll have a blast there! You were just focused on Lorega area, which is not the main place to watch and enjoy sinulog.

People offering you drinks in the streets from strangers is a Filipino tradition. It's a way to invite you to be part of the community or the group. We do that even to locals. This is most especially practiced in the provinces or during big festivals or fiestas. Aside from offering drinks, we also offer food for the same reason.

Very nice, next Sinulog, go to the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu and attend the Fiesta Señor activities there like the mass, Fluvial, and Solemn Procession held every third saturday which is just before the Fiesta Señor day. You can also attend the Fiesta masses in Sunday before going to the Grand Parade like many Cebuanos do. You will experience the core of the festival which is to honor the Sto Niño de Cebu. Once again, VIVA PIT SEÑOR!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Bro, you missed the Ati-atihan in Aklan. It's just near Cebu. Ati-atihan is the Mother of All Festival in the Philippines, which the very first ever Festival in the whole of our country. Same schedule day with Sinulog festival. Ati atihan is way more fun which Tourist can participate with tribes too
