Does the equal protection clause allow me to obtain equal protections offered in a more favorable state in the state of the alleged violation? In this case, Washington State has encoded protections for drivers from unmarked cops but South Carolina does not. Said another way ...Legal protections in WA not offered in SC... Very informative. If the cop seized you from your vehicle, didn't read you your rights, and never specifically stated, you're under arrest, and never identified himself, leaving it to you to guess and assume whether he's actually law enforcement, would I have a case for false arrest, kidnapping, and false imprisonment? Same question for willfully ignoring your stated 4th and 5th amendment rights, openly stating on video, you don't have any and I don't have to protect them. Since I appealed their take decision in the same court, would I still be able to take the case to the proper venue later, where the appeal was evidently ignored? What do you do when they ignored all your pretrial briefs, affidavits, and motions?

I'm in Maine and the swat team smashed my two windows and trashed my apartment in my room and my daughter and two granddaughters rooms and they were looking for someone who was not living in our house and they was never their I have videos of the seen and I was violated by them and they thought it was funny when my son upstairs told them they don't live their and they pulled his mother in law out of her car and cuffed her and held her for almost a half hour and she was just pulling up at the same time and they violated all our rights

Do you represent all counties of IL or only Chicago area? I have a IDHR complaint filed but now looking for representation. I am in Western IL, and prefer to find a lawyer that is a lion in the courtroom. Short summary - DV caused me to go on FMLA from my teaching position, extra medical leave was req’d and dr documentation was provided. I was fired from my position during this time. HR lied on my unemployment appeal hearing call and the Judge called her out so that is also documented by audio if IDES truly keeps those recordings. The school district also cancelled medical insurance that my kids and I had RETROACTIVELY, without notice ahead of time. Sooo much more to this - These are only a small portion of what occurred. Equipped for Equality helped me thru the different moving pieces my employer kept attempting while I was on leave. They said I have a far bigger case than I realize and I’ve had other attorneys tell me the same at various agencies I’ve tried to seek knowledge or resources. I’ve decided it’s just best that I find representation bc I don’t know all the ins and outs of this stuff. I am hopeful to find someone prior to IDHR making contact with me, so that I have all areas covered when that time comes. Iwill be submitting at least 2 VESSA complaints as well (school district and HR gal). I do believe I also have 2 potential medical VESSA complaints as well, but have not spoke with a lawyer yet to know for sure. Each time I make contact with a law office and they ask questions, I start reliving my initial DV that subsequently caused the rest of all these massive life “rocks” falling. It’s just a shit show tbh and Very overwhelming as one can imagine. all the while also trying to navigate the waters of applying for disability and the hurdles that a lack of income for over a year has caused my children and I. I have spreadsheet timeline drafted and is a work in progress, as I also will be cross referencing the actual piece of evidence within the spreadsheet as well for whomever does represent me. (Yes, spreadsheet maybe that is too over the top, lol - with time, dates, contacts, and evidence cross referenced all in one place) Originally, at the very beginning of FMLA when I thought it was only intimidation and manipulation attempts by HR - I told Equipped for Equality that if I pursued anything I would only want extensive policy changes at the schooo district for any potential trial other DV victims in further. Now, after all the other pieces that they did to the children and I - or caused - I want a lion that will conquer this for the kids & I. My town is so small that it’s know. To be the “good ole boys” within the offices and also courts so I have to look outside surrounding nine counties. I want to help other survivors in similar circumstances to see that they should not be scared of reporting their violent attacks, even if their world falls apart for a time. Survivors don’t need to be silenced anymore and I long to find someone that feels the same way regarding the implications survivors face while the attackers walk away with a slap on wrist then back to their everyday normal life. I want the outcome of my case to create a new precedence within case documents/history for other lawyers to use in their Clients cases. I never dreamt I would be experiencing this in my lifetime, and the only good that has come from it so far - it lit a FIRE inside me that will fight for change, boldly pursue advocacy for policy and law changes. But, first…. It is crucial that I get my life back to some resemblance of a new realm of normal. Ideally, handing this case off to a lawyer so that I can get started on advocating for change and be the voice for other survivors. They need to know they aren’t forgotten - that they are heard - and that they matter. I will become that voice for them. This post was not supposed to be this long lol. I was only going to ask if you represent all counties of IL - oops!!! My cases have 2 very good explanations of Strickland and multiple Brady violations among several others. Wow, So glad to have found this page, I wish I could find a lady like her in Colorado, the police ran me in my house, due to a false report. held my children at gun point, fell on my six month old grandaughter in her car seat, which we got on recording, smashed her, slammed me and said i had a warrant, 45 minutes to find out it was for traffic, I was booked for about two hours and released on a PR bond, well i got evicted behind that as well smh, i was later picked up a month later for that same day they took me to jail and charged me and 5 children that that they held at gun point with a felony menacing case...HOW, They dragged this case for over a year, dropped it to a lesser charge, and SEALED the felony menacing of where they ran me in my house...Then March of 2023, the police pulled me over for no front plate, called about 10 officers because i was scared to roll the window all the way down, they busted out my window, towed my car, took me to jail on a warrant they claim i had for the same case they SEALED....SMH, My car was in trust, i showed proof they still auctioned off my car. Internal affairs, Electronic Monitoring is all in on the corruption, i have made complaint after complaint, one of the Chiefs told me since i lived in Georgia for 12 years without being harassed by the police i should just move back there. I filed a Tort Claim with the attorney General, it was denied. then on November 25, 2023 what looked like was swat and the animal control came and removed my support animals from my home stating they got a anonymous call which was NOT. (this one gets deep) The SEARCH WARRANT was not valid, my pets has been in the animal shelter since. the saddest thing of it all, it all started when i started speaking my right. 4 years of hell, since the pandemic. No injured party, no fist thrown, just clearly speaking my rights lawfully. Thank you for this information. I’m a Pro Se Litigate in the California Eastern District Court. I’ve tried to obtain counsel, how, keep hearing no or get no call back. My complaint is Eighth Amendment violations and I have approximately 9 or 10 defendants. Is there anyone out there that will be a legal civil consultant. I will not hold you responsible for the outcome, I just need certain answers I have answered and my documents reviewed. For example is a Pro Se Plaintiff responsible to pay for their deposition they intend or does the court pay? What if plaintiff doesn’t have the amount of money, does they lose out on that part of discovery?

Should you go to internal affairs? First or not at all. Does it help or make it worse? Lawyer first? Public defender?

Upon being questioned, and all throughout my incarnation, I was informing both the police and my public defender that their are five new cameras at the park that would exonerate me. The police literally called me a little, and my attorney, kept saying that there's was nothing she could do because the police report doesn't mention cameras, "too bad your locked up or you could do all the investigative work yourself". Upon bail, I immediately went to the park and took photos of all the cameras, their field of view, and the view of where the incident took place. I was ignored by all judicial personal, including the sheriff department and coerced into taking a illusory plea deal that has been the complete opposite of what was implied... there's so much more
