Yeah I think ima have to pass on this channel unfortunately… got excited because I thought I found a channel who’s (at least) reacted up season 6 and so I’d have 6 seasons of reactions to watch. But just based on this episode/video that I’m 4:56 into, you guys are cutting out all of the best parts so far and chances are I can probably expect the same who all the episodes too. (But ima at least finish this episode though and give the channel another chance by watching 1 or 2 more episodes/videos, just on the off chance this one happened to be an exception and the rest aren’t edited similarly.)

That show is 🔥 it is SO funny and the writing and production are SO good! Creative, open, unique, and finh hilarious-o! 😂 Can't wait till S6 comes out. F/X has a real goldmine with this one but the streaming platforms can be...problematic about abandoning they're audience. :/ I hope F/X doesn't cave to that.

You may appreciate this episode even more knowing that the Counsel of Vampires are all actors reprising vampire roles they've done in other movies/series. Taika Waititi, Jemaine Clement, and Jonny Brugh are all reprising their roles from the original What We Do In The Shadows film Paul Reubens is reprising his character Amilyn from the original 1992 Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. Danny Trejo is himself but almost as Razon Charlie, a vampire he played in From Dusk til Dawn Evan Rachel Wood played vampire Queen Sophie-Ann LeClerq on True Blood Wesley Snipes of course as himself but also kinda as Blade Tilda Swinton is reprising her vampire character from The Only Lovers Left Alive And the episode name drops Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt who played vampires in Interview with a Vampire, Rob Pattinson obviously Edward from Twilight, and Kiefer Sutherland who played the vampire in The Lost Boys.

1:20 vampires being able to shape change is a very old trope in vampire lore. In the original 1897 Dracula novel by Bram Stoker and in many of the early b&w classic movies, Dracula could shift into a bat, wolf, large dog, and into mist/fog. That trope was dropped in more modern vampire lore, likely because werewolves and other shapeshifters better fit the shapechanging trope. Hypnotism/compulsion is another trope that goes way back to the beginning... and another that modern stories sometimes overlook. This was primarily how Dracula would ensnare his prey - by controlling their minds and drawing them in.
