It’s really not that uncommon for people to go to medical school who don’t want to practice clinically. My very first day, a student group sent out sign ups for a workshop series about “considering pathways to medical careers beyond clinical medicine”

Hello, great vid, really hoping I'm in the right spot. I am hoping to pay someone $600 to tell me how to lie on my medical school applications so that I can lie my way in to medical school. I really want someone who has experience lying their way into medical school by lying about why they want to study and practice medicine. Ideally this person would have done this process several years ago, rendering a large part of the information I'm paying for to be completely outdated. I literally dont give a single fuck if I take away a seat from someone who would use this opportunity as intended by going on to practice medicine for a few decades, helping thousands of people during their career. I am more important!!!! I'm writing my secondary essays right now and they want to know so many things like why do I want to help people, what's a memorable patient encounter. The whole time I'm sitting here like ummm hellooooo I want to make moneyyyyyy. Like why does any of that patient stuff matter? I'm just going to quit this stupid thing once I can get enough clout to reach self sustaining levels of meaningless internet validation and ego inflation (and money $$$!!!). Like why arent money or clout core competencies???? So I really don't know what to write on these things, and thats why I really need help from an expert in this field. If I'm successful with this long con I think I can be a d list med school influencer while I pretend to care about the stupid school stuff and scam my way to the finish line so I can disappoint not just my family but also all of the people who helped me accomplish the dream that I was faking the whole time. Anyways I will check out the links! Thanks for the opportunity to give you my parents money. I'm not going to tell them that everything you do is a lie and that you quit before helping a single person....they don't understand how important internet points are (and money!!!!) You know what they say...If a potato can become vodka, then I can become cringe!

You are by far the worst resource to use on how to get into medicine, you’re nothing more than a money hungry clown preying on the vulnerability and desperation of wannabe med students. Please do your own research and use literally any other resource for advice on how to get into medicine.

I strongly suggest you look into consulting since you aren't doing residency. An MD qualifies you for a high paying consulting job and its a good fall back, and way to pay off your loans, if your influencer business doesn't work out. Also ignore the haters, deep down a lot of people go into medicine for the money but like to virtue signal and say they're only doing it for the patients.

I have no idea, I am an immigrant student and I want to go to medical school. My GPA is not in the high range and also not really low, but one of my professors, told me that medical school not only depends on your GPA. Even if you have a low GPA then they look at your MCAT, letter of recommendation, your personal letter, your work experience etc.

Hi Maggie, I have been following you for a while and love your channel!! Your videos are incredibly helpful. I have a question about your road to acceptance program; will there be someone helping me with editing my personal statement and secondary applications? If so, how many school secondaries are we allowed to receive help on? Thank you for your time and you are the best ❤
@itslifebymaggie3 ай бұрын
Hey Juliana! I am so glad my videos have been helpful for you! As far as Road to Acceptance, there is not 1-on-1 essay feedback or editing from me personally. We do have an RTA Facebook group where you can post any questions you have about essay ideas or questions and an extensive essay library with lots of examples! Plus the modules of course walking you through HOW to write them. In the Facebook group or separate student chat you can also ask to swap essays with other RTA students! Hope that answers your question. Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know :)

Hello Maggie. Been watching your content for 2+ years since I decided to be a doctor, and submitted my primary application for medical school :) I was really wanting to ask about acceptance with a low GPA, specifically if I should be worried? Got a 3.18 cc GPA and a 3.4 science GPA after a 3.95 post bac with a strong upward GPA. Freshman and sophomore GPA were really bad, but got a 3.89 GPA from my university after transferring. Got a 507 MCAT second attempt with a low CARS. Realistically, should I be worried about not having a shot at an allopathic medical school? Sorry for the load of information, and congrats on all your successes. Your content is inspiring a lot of people :)
@itslifebymaggie5 ай бұрын
Sounds like you have a GREAT upward trend! As long as you took upper level science courses in the post bac, it sounds like you have done all that you can GPA wise that is in your control. You can definitely get accepted with those stats and the next step would be to look at all the other aspects of your application and improve any other weaknesses. For me it was adding in clinical experience because when I first applied I didn't have any! Best of luck! :)

@@itslifebymaggie hello Maggie! Thank you for the encouragement and support - I’ll be sure to update you :) you’re gonna be a great physician, it’s so evident through the work you’ve put in. My AMCAS application has been verified, but I didn’t know how GPA’s were calculated for each semester. Though the last 90 units have been a 3.8 for me, I have another 100 units that averaged lower earlier on, so the GPA distribution isn’t good and only shows for my Senior and Postbacc GPA on the AMCAS application. Initially, I thought the junior and senior GPA’s would be based off the credits I earned and excelled in when I transferred to university - I know it’s a lot of information, but regardless of how the numbers appear on the AMCAS, there is still a strong upward trend and I’ll keep my faith! Sincerely, thank you for the response and encouragement!
@Drift15 ай бұрын
Also, unfortnately I was wrong about the science GPA. The science GPA through AACOMAS (DO application) is a 3.4. For AMCAS, it's a 2.99 though, which puts me just barely below a 3.00. My post bacc counselor said he would send an email letter to my medical list in regards to me due to that cutoff GPA. I'll continue the prospects though.
