Nice overview, thanks! I have a C214 and find it a tad too mid-rangy and boxy for my voice. Whenever I try to give it more of that intimate, high-end breathiness with EQ, the recordings become harsh-sounding very quickly. Is there any model in particular you'd recommend as an upgrade from the C214? The WA-87 seems like the most obvious choice at a reasonable price. It seems to have a midrange-oriented tone as well, but you did mention it takes EQ very well, which isn't always the case with the C214 in my experience.

I dont like Reaper,I hate FL Studio,the trial version crashed during loading an instrument.So its not a good sign.I'm staying with Studio One.Easiest for me.

I’m SO beyond grateful for this right now! After watching just one of your videos, you have no idea how much my vocal tracks improved. Thank you so much for taking the time to create such in depth, yet simple tutorials. I was just about ready to quit this project, but it’s been totally transformed after following these steps 😭👏

how to produce a professional vocal track in "one click" although, just like the microphones you present, each voice is different? the parameters will therefore not be the same, in addition to the artistic directions of each title! It’s very strange to say that. However, thank you for your very good video which allows you to hear each of the microphones presented.

Mattie, since seems to be the most recent video, I guess you might see this comment sooner than your videos from a year or more. Your 'training' and 'technique' videos would be so much more enjoyable to watch and absorb (too late for the earlier ones, since re-editing them would be insane) .. but after watching several, I can't help but to comment that they give me a 'headache' !! The constant clipping out at the pauses, and the rapid fire, almost unconcentratable, if that is a word, hectic presentation is really annoying which would otherwise be an enjoyable, educational content. I know this is the current trend on KZbin and other videos, but whoever started that, and others now keep on following, is mindboggling! I would really not care if each video is even 15, 20 minutes longer, but it would save on Exedrin for most people. The herky jerky effect of cutting out pauses and not having a natural speech flow is downright, nausiating. I hope this does not offend you, since I could write this to hundreds more who make KZbin instructional videos, but your channel would be so much more educational if you would alter your technique to a more S L O W E R paced approach. Thanks. Zoltan

Appreciate the feedback! It's a tough balance to try to keep people entertained and try to keep the pacing natural. I'll keep that in mind for future tutorials!

Professional means nothing... i know guys that have paid top dollar for DAWS and production sucks.. They lack understanding of arrangements, production quality...very low music "theory" (which is e term i hate).. But.. fact is.. get a DAW and master it..!! I've been using FL faithfully since version 2...so I'm a professional.. classically, piano trained at a music conservatory played saxophone and drums..at the age of 8 yo... Spend your money on learning the instrument(s) you want to master.. Learn what makes a song a classic...(tones, intrument selections, sonic depths, syllable counts within 4 bars) Ready sheet music.. understand chords how to marry chords.. when to clash tones.. The best producers know these little things and pay attention to them.. Finally.. make the music for you to love 1st.. if you love it 1st.. and you don't care what people think.. There are over 4 billion people on this blue ball.. You only need 0.005 to like it!!.. But you gotta love it. !! Good luck to you all... and let's make music😊

Can you use logic to correct pitch for a piano quartet live performance recording?

You could, but it may sound a bit strange at the end of things. Best to get it right from the original recordings!

Yeah bro my biggest with logic was that even when disabling plugins, it doesn’t remove latency. I prefer to record vocals with a FEW plugins active like autotune, etc. But of course when it’s time to playback, I want all the other stuff on too. Fl studio works this way, disabling plugin will completely bypass the processing. Wish logic could implement this.
@Tyler-ko8dp13 күн бұрын
how do you change the range though?

When you are done with that mic, please sale it to me. Coz my phone is not giving me the good vocal quality I need for my songs

With regard to latency settings, what version of Logic are you using? I'm using 11.0.1 and there isn't a "clock" icon to turn on. Now what? Thanks. Gianni❤
@Music-By-Mattie13 күн бұрын
You only get the clock icon by enabling the Low Latency Monitoring Mode from the dropdown menu. I explain in the video
