This is just what I needed, especially the lost quilt you showed at the end. Thank you ❤

This may be 10 years old but it is very relabel to what I need to quilt now, especially the log cabin style because mine is rows without the side border and them I plan to add the side borders last so using the fusible batting should work wonderful for me (at least that is the plan). Thank you.

This is a great approach! (Column by column). I never considered this option, which allows you to quilt across the seam. TFS!

I love this method, and this is the best explanation, very understandable and clear. Please keep this one up! I refer people to it all the time. It doesn't need to be "Hollywood " to be great!

Can spray basting or fusible tape be used if no fusible batting is used to butt seams?

I thought qayg was supposed to be easier then traditional quilting you just made it seem so difficult. Sorry this did not help me at all just confused me.

I watched this long ago when I was sewing on a 2x2 spot. I have seen many videos since, and made quilt tops. I only quilted one in small blocks and hand sewed them together. I have a new machine and a used executive desk these days and am ready to try your wonderful method! Thank you for your videos.

I am so grateful for this series! Thank you! This is the method I will use when I make a king sized quilt. So if I wanted to add borders I’m assuming I would use the same method. But if I want to add several borders, would I sew all border strips together then add them to one side, or sew each border strip separately? Just trying to figure out the best way to do that so my borders line up all around the quilt.

These videos are so helpful! I was trying to figure out how to QAYG a king sized quilt without sashing or hand sewing and this series has helped the most. Thank you so much!

Wish I had the room to do work like this. I've always loved your UTube demos and your quilting method for QAYG... one of my favs. I do love color, one of the things that drew me to Quilting in the first place. Very envious of your nice studio.

I do my level best to never quilt as you go in rows and columns. This will give an accordion effect at first glance which can take time to go away. I break the piece into groups of 2-4 blocks and then attach them to each other 4x4 or 2×3 or 3x3. This way eliminates the accordion pleated look when you do it in straight rows and columns. And in fact, I can do panel quilts much the same way.

I'm going to try your idea and I'm excited about it. I don't know if you have tried to use a pool noodle to roll-up your quilt as it goes past your machine. It helps me. Is there a limit on the size of your quilt squares you put together to make a larger square to quilt as you go? I can't wait to try it. Your the best 🙂🧓God Bless.

Great technique. I'll definitely be using this method. I use only 100% cotton batting instead of the fusible batting.. what if I cut the first strip of batting 1/2 " wider than needed and could loose stitch the next strip by hand or even run through the machine with a zip zag stich ? Thank you for this tutorial. My wife talked me into making her a queen sized quilt. Piecing and sewing the top together was easy. I can't afford to have a long arm quilter quilt it so I'm hand quilting it. NEVER AGAIN!!! All my quilts from now on will be quilt as you go

Thank you Candy for doing these four videos. I am a beginner Quilter and was feeling overwhelmed about joining up my squares on my first Queen sized quilt. You have explained the steps so simply and straightforward, I have learnt a lot and I am now looking forward to moving on and finishing my quilt. Once again thank you and please keep your videos coming.
