Hi! Help needed here if you can please.. I'd like to trigger single tracks (one at a time, no layering) for live use with a band (key tracks) from an iPad or iPhone preferrably using a bluetooth keyboard or drum pad (or mp-style pad) and it would be great if I could tap the tempo in any way to make sure they fit the songs as intended AND ALSO it would be great if changing tempo didn't change the pitch of the samples (samples are going to basically be Rhodes/hammonds chords).. any idea about the proper app? I don't need any editing capabilities.. thanks guys!

They are trash, not just this unit. TE is a garbage company and is an enemy to actually good music gear companies. They are trash.

Ableton said that they won't be adding more tracks, the focus is to add features across 4 stable tracks. An auto-trim on longer audio is also problematic as if you are recording audio that has a rest on the 1, or starts a bar later. Be nice to have it as a setting to toggle on/off but it can't guest the intent.

Yeah maybe not so handy as a LL unless you can map a foot controller but still very useful… do you just start with a blank drum kit?

Here I started with just a random drum kit. But now I've created a custom one that has all the pads set to the right settings so I don't have to change the trigger settings

Hey, Thank you for this video! Do you happen to know if there’s a way to set it up so the pads play chords within a scale? For example, pressing a pad could play a 3rd or 7th chord in the key you’ve set.

Are you using 1 bar for recording? Did you have to custom map any controls or was this plug and play after you assigned each instrument and sound? Do you record the loop on your 2 devices or do you use the expression pedal with the akai mini? Have you heard the arm record template that triggers record when you move to a channel?

This is really cool thanks! Why do you need to end the recording before the sequencer ends? for instance if the drum loop on the move is 2 bars, cant you finish the loop at 1.5 bars, then it will retrigger the loop every 2 bars? Also can you add effects to the external audio in real time? thank you!!!

That's just so that you will get a seamless loop, so that the sequencer will played what you recorded straight away. You can record for shorter or longer as well, but if it's longer, you will have to wait an entire round for it to play. You can add the effects that are assigned to the drum rack straight away.
