Thx for sharing. I’m about to put one of these together. Would you suggest anchoring the 4 posts down to anything? Or is it heavy enough to stand alone?
@silverpop271125 күн бұрын
It is pretty heavy. I live in an area where hurricane's are an issue so I have anchored it to the concrete pool deck I have it installed on.

I also own this fine pizza oven. I’ve owned mine for going on two years. Personally I think it’s an amazing deal! Far as I can tell, the only difference between this and an ooni or Gozney is a little insulation. Definitely not enough to justify the difference! It is a big one! Only wish they had a larger version.

How many times have you cooked on that thing over what period of time?
@silverpop2711Ай бұрын
In May and June almost every weekend. July maybe 3 times and August a couple of times. I will probably ramp up as we move into fall. I usually cook outside almost every weekend but switch up between the grill and the upright smoker.
@gamebrainmediaАй бұрын
@@silverpop2711 - soooo - May + June = 8x cooks + July @ 3x / Aug @ 2x & let's say Sept @ 3x Oct @ 2x = 18 times in one year divided by $180 = $10 per cook + fuel. Heck I'll pay $10 per cook to avoid cleaning the glass top stove & my cast iron skillets! BONUS: you can easily get 3+ years out of that rig if you store it inside a bit more often, bringing cost down to $3.33 per cook + fuel. NOTE: usage drops about 25~50% when you practice hauling your grill / griddle in & out of the garage... YES: I was a commercial construction estimator in a past life... ;)
@gamebrainmediaАй бұрын
Great video... super cool time in the product development cycle of outdoor kitchens for carnivores! I want a griddle / grill combo like this thing & it only costs $180. Let's say it "only" lasts 6 years - if you neglect it as shown. That's only $30 per year! If you divide that by 6 cookouts per year (2 weekends June / July / August) = $5 per weekend + fuel. ^^^THAT'S A FANTASTIC DEAL and it would probably last 12 / 18 / 24 years if stored in a garage during cold climate winters. We already have a 3 year old x $300 Walmart SS EXPERT GRILL w/ 4-burners + side burner & we love grilling on it. I recently bought a $30 Walmart "Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron Reversible Grill/Griddle" surface piece & will try it soon on our EXPERT. I'm not in a hurry because we have a $150 Walmart only Blackstone Adventure Ready 17" Tabletop Griddle Combo with DEEP Fryer. The thing is, I don't like burning 2x gas @ grill & griddle @ same time, so I will be testing the grill + the "Lodge Grill/Griddle" surface on the grill ASAP.

Cedar fence boards from Lowes. Only temporary for the bar top, once it cools down and humidity drops I plan on doing an epoxy pour. These boards do expand and contract a lot. www.lowes.com/pd/5-8-in-x-5-1-2-in-x-6-ft-Cedar-Dog-Ear-Fence-Picket/5014282515

@silverpop27112 ай бұрын
The bar side stays pretty dry with the back wall, a little will come in from the one side if the wind is really blowing but not enough to get to the electronics. the grill side is a different story, eventually I plan on building small awning style covers to extend a couple of feet, live with that and see how it does.

I saw the videos on your channel. Your video content is excellent. To grow & increase the view of your channel you need to optimize your videos. Inspite all of your efforts videos are not being viewed. Video SEO Score is very low. The title, Description, and Tags are not SEO-friendly. Videos are not shared on Social Media platforms and many other problems are found on your KZbin Channel. If your channel is optimized a little and if the videos are SEO friendly then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. So immediately need SEO for your Videos & KZbin channel.
