Sixpence? That's not something an American would say.

He's a craftsman, not a murderous madman. Or maybe he IS a murderous madman. Anyways, he's a craftsman. And I appreciate hearing his mind.

Aww! This is Tom, as raw as I've ever seen him. It's beautiful like a rock that captures your eye, though you can't explain why.

A long time ago when I was around 40 or so, my landlord dropped me off at the bank so I could cash in my $520 welfare check. He commented that I looked like I was homeless. I had to thank him kindly that it wasn't so and stumbled on to the bank. I felt like Tom Waits looks that day. Now I live in Japan. My wife owns two $4,000,000 houses. Life's improved - greatly. I still miss lookin' like a bum.

It's not what sticks with you, like the B section after the octave riff, but: restarting the first verse early at about 40 seconds is hidden genius

I always had this album in the car when I was away from home, but I realised that I could not bear to listen until I was on my way back. Simple truths. First experience of this artist was "Small change got rained on". Like listening to film noir.

Can anyone explain this, I just don’t understand? So they crash the RV and then a random bible wielding person just shows up and takes them to Las Vegas?? What am I missing?
