1. Remove Old Tensioner Use 8mm socket to remove the two bolts securing the stock cam chain tensioner. Pull out the old tensioner. Clean the area around the gasket thoroughly with a clean rag and cleaner. 2. Prepare New Tensioner Apply a thin coating of gasket sealer or grease to the new tensioner and gasket. Ensure the tensioner is oriented correctly (slit or tab facing down). 3. Install New Tensioner Carefully align and insert the new tensioner into place. Finger-tighten the bolts to start. Use the 4mm Allen wrench to tighten the bolts securely to around 6-8 lb-ft. 4. Adjust Tension Turn the adjustment bolt by hand until it just contacts the chain slider. Turn the engine over a few times to ensure the tensioner adjusts correctly: Option 1: Use a 17mm socket to manually rotate the engine. Option 2: Set the bike in gear and gently spin the rear wheel while the bike is propped up on a stand. Recheck the tension and make slight adjustments as necessary. 5. Final Adjustments Start the engine and listen for chain noise. Make fine adjustments to the tensioner if needed while the engine is running. 6. Check and Recheck After adjustment, ensure the engine runs smoothly with no chain noise. Verify the tension is correct after engine operation and fine-tune as necessary.

Its better than the newer models. Lighter weight and wider transmission ratio. I want one with a big bore. I hear the ultimate upgrade is to put the super sherpa transmission in it. Gives you an even higher 6th gear and a lower first.

I have a Honda Valkyrie with the petcock reserve system and I honestly have no clue what the point is. Just let me have access to my full tank of gas without switching a nob around.

If you feel strongly about it, you can easily reverse this if your bike has two fuel hoses running from the tap as mine has. Just swap the hoses at the fuel tap. Easy. Otherwise a dot of paint on the longer ‘FROM HERE’ end of the fuel selector lever will serve as a reminder.

I mistakenly left mine in the flow position on my Troy bilt 19HP tractor and ended up with a crankcase full of gas!! Changed it out and hopefully that will stop that.
