So, every anchor broke. Did you just run the screws directly through the broken off anchors after you cut them flush like the first one? I'm about to install one of these shelves and i just want to be prepared in case the same happens to me. Thanks for doing a video of this!
@HowTosandProductReviews-lvan
@HowTosandProductReviews-lvan Ай бұрын
Yes, exactly. I believe I used a few anchors I had floating around as well. Definitely take your time and get the anchors in nice, square and level. Doing a corner floating shelf was ambitious and took some work to get it to a satisfactory level, but doing a single shelf should be pretty straightforward. Good luck! Lmk how it goes. 👊

It’s always a good idea to do a little research on any required city permits as these can vary from city to city. ;). Good luck and don’t forget to request “Ivan’s discount” if you decide to order the rectangle pool from Playgo Pools. Ask for George and he’ll take care of you.

Nice, yeah we’re stoked with ours. Good luck and if you want a well built rectangle pool hit up Playgopools - you can customize the sizing with additional or less panels and even include stairs that go underneath the vinyl liner. If I had more space we would have included those.

I would suggest buying an inexpensive Walmart rectangular pool and building 4 wooden walls around it but not touching then create raised garden beds outside the walls this creates an elegant backyard pool look that will only cost 1500 to 3000 dollars depending on the size of pool and materials you use on the walls. If you search walls around above ground pool you'll see several examples some are mind blowing and look like they cost 30k to 50k.

Do the 110V units run in a pattern.? My Kreepy Crawler goes random directions, eventually gets everything but requires a 220v booster
@HowTosandProductReviews-lvan
@HowTosandProductReviews-lvan 3 ай бұрын
It appears to be somewhat of a pattern, little turns with each bump of the wall, but eventually gets most of the debris. Still need to hit it with the conventional hose vacuum from the skimmer to get it all.

GREAT QUESTION! Unfortunately skipped that, but super easy - you just thread the vinyl border into the gap and press it in deep. After filling with water I went back and slid pennies into the thread to tighten any gaps and fix any slippage. Lmk if any more questions!

Pool chemicals are harsher than a pool saltwater system, so I'd imagine that if this vinyl can withstand pool chemicals, then it should be ok with saltwater systems. Yours is a good question because that is the way I would go as well. Salt water system..

Total for materials was about $800 - $900. Wood/lumber being the most expensive cost. Materials included: lumber, screws, paint brush and varnish. Did the labor myself obviously, but would guess $1,000 - $2,000 in labor depending on who’s doing it and the quality of the work. So thats likely $2k-$3k all in. Let us know how it goes!

Do not buy this product unless you enjoy disappointment. I bought this shelf from Lowes. When I installed it, I realized that the screws holding the shelf to the bracket was still loose. The screws were tight to the shelf itself, but the holes in the tube (part of the bracket) are too big and allows the shelf to move around. This is a horrible design. My shelf was about 8 x 24 and would have to be modified to make it work. Instead, I returned it and decided It's not worth $30. I thought I was saving myself some time, but now I back to designing and building my own.

I feel your pain. I definitely had to make a few modifications/tweaks to get them to look acceptable. Although I was able to get these 4 floating shelves installed as floating corner shelves it was pretty challenging and took more attempts than what the video shows to get to the final installation where they all are close to aligned. All that said, I think as stand alone floating shelves they work pretty good. How did your custom build turn out?

@HowTosandProductReviews-lvan 6 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching. For an oil change service - I'd recommend taking your vehicle into a professional mechanic. Before you drive in though, it's still better to add new oil vs. driving with low oil - which is much more serious and can ruin your engine (unfortunately I learned that lesson the hard way once). I agree with general principle of the life philosophy you shared, but sometimes you just need to get by and hopefully this video helps people do just that!
