Loving how you've developed from the first few videos, great stuff! I was gonna suggest the mini torch, but you beat me to it. I'd also get a large wall/floor tile to protect the cutting mat from the heat as well. Should be able to get a sample tile from B&Q

Just a couple of thoughts while I'm watching, MB Fibreglass do Jesmonite, it's a water based product that sets rock hard. You can fill moulds, brush it on as a covering, dye it, and loads of other uses. Hobbycraft do their own version of Tacky Glue, it's just as good but much cheaper. With the tiles you could do them in long strips. Keep the top edge straight and join the tiles at the top but only about 1/3rd the way down. Keep a small gap at the bottom and have the bottom edge of the tiles slightly uneven. When fitting just trim to length and glue a whole row on at one time, should be a bit quicker than individual tiles. Loving what you are doing with these. Keep them coming! Have you ever thought about doing a live stream? Either on here or Twitch, or both together

why not just screw a piece of 9mm MDF to the existing fence? That will give you a tall fence with minimal expence The sneaking it into an exhibition is what intrigued me

So very happy to see you back with another very cool, not very dodgy at all, excellent creation! I was trying to imagine some other applications where actual brass or metal soldered together would be physically or visually preferable, I'm usually good at brainstorming but other than railings in library catwalks or library rolling ladder I I can't think of any particularly brilliant applications that would be better than something plastic painted to resemble metal such as pipework or metal scaffolding even if in a sifi or dystopian diorama

Is that how modern croquet mallets look? I honestly haven't seen one since the late 1980s
@dodgydioramas
@dodgydioramas 3 ай бұрын
Yes, it's how the most modern mallets look, aluminium with a carbon fibre shaft, although most still prefer wood. The traditional cylindrical heads are rare, but you do see the occasional one, square being the norm as it's easier to line up.
@AllGoodOutside
@AllGoodOutside 3 ай бұрын
@@dodgydioramas thank you for the reply and the information, I can definitely see the logic with the square heads of the mallet. If one did not hit completely flush using a rounded cylinder that that could affect the accuracy.
