I love your shopping cart in the river idea. What you built reminds me of the tumbrels that they would take people to the guillotine in. Also, I prefer no music, in case I am lulled to sleep (sorry, it happens more than I'd like it to). I don't like being awakened by a sudden blast of music when I'm used to your nice calming narration.

I love the whimsical nature of the diorama, especially the shopping trolley. And no music please. Apart from the fact that you can't please everyone, I often find with other channels that I have to scramble to turn down the sound and it takes me right out of the enjoyment of a well made video and diorama.

Just a tip, when using foam, you can use a hot air gun to open your cut edges instead of a skewer. It also shrinks the foam and helps seal it. Be careful cuz you can over do the heat and damage your build.

Balsa wood is excellent, many uses and strong enough in most cases. Technically it is a hardwood. I have lots of power tools but often still use an old fashioned fretsaw, brilliant for difficult shapes, a jeweller's saw is a smaller version and very handy. Get the right blades and you can cut metal too.
@dodgydioramas
@dodgydioramas Жыл бұрын
As a kid many, many years ago I did make a few balsa model planes and can just about remember. What I do remember is there's a wide variety of weights and strength so it's best to buy where you can pick up and feel the sheets but around here all those model shops are long gone sadly so I'd have to buy online, maybe not a problem? A jewelers fret saw would be nice though.

That’s another great diorama. I’m glad you got such a good response from your first video. I don’t think you have to worry about us not liking your subsequent videos, though. You have the artistic skills and a likable, comfortable personality. As long as you’re enjoying what you’re doing, it’ll come across and we’ll enjoy watching and sharing the time with you. I wouldn’t think that adding music would be necessary. A little bit of quiet once in a while never hurt anything. That medieval shopping cart under the bridge surprised me and made me laugh. It all turned out really well. Thanks for sharing this with us and I’m looking forward to watching more of your projects in the future.

Try using baking soda instead of corn flour with the super glue. It works better and is also a stronger bond

So so so cool! Thank you for sharing this with us all! I had a suggestion for your rocks. Mixing in greens and oranges can really make things feel alive. Imagine all the algae and moss that grows on rocks. Just a suggestion for the next one can’t wait!

Hello friend! I really like your diorama! It turned out really great If i can offer some constructive criticism i would tell you to make your table a more comfortable color, instead of the yellowish wood. Maybe a bit of adhesive papar in a darker colour Another thing is to have a background music or just the sounds of you working since the sudden silence can be quite bad as you are listening (at least i was thinking my head phones broke) For the type of music... Why not something that relates to the diorama? So tavern music for medieval ones, electronic for cyberpunk....

wow was looking forward to this and you didn't disappoint. well done. you should definitely look into background music as it pulls everything together sound wise. it dulls the abrupt sounds changes from not taking to talking and fills in empty space when no talking occurs. could you also give us a better look at the models before you put them on the diorama. as we can't physically see the whole diorama it'll give us a better understanding of your skill and actually what they look like. again well done.

I like a little music. Any kind, as background music just occupies your ears while your eyes are busy. Otherwise the sudden silence is distracting.

To answer your question regarding music or not; I just put on Spotify in the background. That way I can listen to whatever music I feel suits the video.
