You should use the trash wood to burn for heat in winter. Just cut to fire wood long.

I use a Mr Cool mini.spilt AC unit. It is 36 thousand but and uses less energy than old big Central AC. This unit cut the power bill in half. If you have pretty good solar panels you can run this on a solar panel system. I know people that have two or three of these split systems in their home and they they have solar panel they're off the grid.

Always enjoy watching but as a master electrician for 35 yrs it’s so painful to watch you pull the Romex from the center. It pulls so much easier when you un spool it first and it looks so much neater. There I said it I’m glad I said it.. LOL good luck with the rest of the build..

Interesting. I feel like unspooling it and then running it would take longer. It might make it easier for routing through the framing though.

I think you should save some of those boards, in case in the futur4e, you want to make chicken place or a shack for your tools, you can use them, off course garbage the bad woods. i am learning a lot from you, I certainly appreciate your nice work and your episodes. thanks to your father in law, i learned a good point in wiring.

We have so much scrap lumber to build little projects. The lumber we trashed was short pieces and all twisted and cracked.

I don’t throw any lumber away unless it’s rotted. And then it’s used in my fire pit. I see a lot of goo usable lumber being tossed. 🤨 Like was said, concrete chunks make good filler or retaining walls. 😊

Put one switch in to run the sconces. They don’t use much power. Or split the load in half. 😊

you should put the switch box closer to the door. Your trim isn't going to be that wide. You are already at 4 1/2 inches and still have the door frame width.

Seems so wasteful to toss all that wood. Anything over 4 feet could be saved for future project. A storage container would be great for this

Something I have learned from soo sooo many off gridders here on You Tube, is....Waste not, want not! A lot from what I saw of the lumber, should have been saved. Shelves and so on, they would come in handy for sure. The big pieces of concrete, could be used to fill in holes. So very happy that you got your oven fixed! That was a long time coming! Why they sell them only as a natural gas unit is beyond me, around here, the only homes that have natural gas are the one's not just inside the city limits, but just the one's inside the city limits AND there is a pipe line already ran. And, if you buy a home that is on the line, but doesn't have a line or meter, you pay BIG to get it ran! Thanks to you all for sharing your life and adventures, sure beats the heck out of the ones that show and do the same old thing every video!

I am so glad the new kit resolved the issue with the stove! That has been a thorn in your side for quite a while and must be very satisfying to finally have it resolved. It's always amazing how much wire it take to get all the homeruns, switches, outlets, lighting etc wired correctly. I built a 1500 sq ft shop at my sons house 2 years ago and it took @ 1000' of wire for everything. Allie and the kids are having fun together. The grading and cleanup aroung the area made a big difference as you panned the video around to show it. It really looks nice and will be great once all the gravel come in. Have a great week and see you next time. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
