Nice video and theories. I’ve purchased the horror blind box and was happy with it. One item retails for 74.99 and box was in perfect shape. I mean, 14 items for $138 is less than $10 per item. I normally leave all of mine in no , but will take these out for shelf gap fill. I’m confused with Target. I did a video on this recently. My local Target sent all of theirs back. No more on shelf. 30 miles away they have a smaller section, but have new NECA items. Several workers have said no more NECA in stores in 2025? Walmart NECA just stinks. Thank you.

It’s true. Why is it so hard for people to just give back what’s not theirs? I mean seriously you bought one you get two, send the other one back it’s not that fucking hard.

I asked Neca, and they told me that only TMNT items count towards the $400 for the rewards loyalty program.

It could be that they are not counting unfulfilled orders. I bought 3 lairs and they didn't send an email at all, and there's no way to check because they just pulled it out of their hat to punish people who exercised their consumer protection rights and didn't send their free gift back.

They're probably not counting pre-orders.

NECA seems determined to run itself into the ground this year. My local Target hasn't had a restock of any kind since the last Haulathon. Their customer service has torpedoed like I've never seen before. They also hold a number of very attractive, lucrative licenses which is keeping some (of us) buyers on the hook but they can get lost with this sort of nonsense. A rewards program that is somehow retroactive but only works if you buy from their ludicrous online store?!

This seems like such a passive-aggressive move.

There was a comment on Hatters video that stated the person emailed neca about it and the response received (allegedly) was that the money spent only applies to their tmnt line. These neca people have lost their damn minds.

They seem desperate to gain back some customer loyalty. Advertising those new TMNT figures as "NECA first to ship" seems like they're trying to get customers to buy from them out of FOMO or marketing to the people who just have to have something first. Personally, I'll wait for Target or another retailer to get that new Leatherhead. Not paying their ridiculous shipping prices for them to send it in a box with no packing material or to never send it at all.

I’ve easily spent more than $400 this year alone. NECA needs to understand a lot of us buy their products in Target, Walmart and Best Buy to avoid shipping costs. If they are going to do rewards or loyalty program it will be necessary for them to track in store purchases as well. They need to do this thing right or not at all.

Yea same here. This year I've spent more than $400 and according to them, I still need another $241.

And reason #183 I’m not buying any NECA.

I know I’ve spent the needed amount throughout the whole year and they’re telling me I need to spend $211 more dollars before the end of the year. It’s crazy to say I have to spend over 200 more just to get this, especially with Christmas coming up soon.

I'd imagine they got that figure by calculating the items they still expect to ship you, which kind of sucks because it means they are holding onto your money and know they won't be shipping it.

I really like this theory on the Target clearout...I always see the TMNT Neca in Target but not at prices I'm willing to pay, so I only have a few, so for me the TMMT box is perfect...as long as I dont get sent a Horror box

I haven’t heard anyone bring this up, but a bunch of us who preordered the Universal Monsters Toony Terrors did not get Mummy. Instead we were sent the glow in the dark. Realistic Mummy figure. It was a ridiculous looking shipment with three Toony characters and the much bigger, realistic Mummy. This happened the same time the turtle lab thing was going down. Since then, we have gotten emails saying we would get the right one and enjoy the free item, though many of us already had bought one of those. Still haven’t received the correct Mummy though.

I ordered one and it already said undeliverable and that it was voided by the sender 🫨

It is exactly backstock. Jersey red 2 pack is in there, Punk turtle 4 pack is in there, some of the turtle monsters, space Usagi, and other backstock. So yes it is their way of clearance out stuff.

I think your theory might be right. I just watched an unboxing of one and one of the items had a yellow Target Clearance sticker.

Regardless of NECA’s latest customer service issues, I think people are just largely played out. I don’t need much of anything else from NECA at this point. I bought a ton of their products the past 5 years and I just don’t need much more. Their various lines were on fire for quite a while, but most people who collect it have mostly had their fill. NECA (like some other manufacturers) want to keep selling like it’s 2020/2021. It was a crazy fun ride, but it’s been coming back down to Earth for a while now. As for that alleged erroneous horror pack someone claims to have gotten, I think it’s bunk. I guess anything is possible, but I am highly skeptical anyone received them yet. I can believe NECA needs to liquidate some stuff, though, so maybe those blind boxes will turn out to be decent deals. I travel for work a lot, and I have seen some Target stores with huge amounts of NECA product on the shelves…like the most I’ve ever seen in a couple cases. I want them to survive since I believe they are one of the best values in collector figures, but I think there’s gonna be more fallout before things settle down.

You can actually press charges against them cause by law it's a gift. I swear look it up or check out Junkman and his video about this and the actual laws when it comes to a situation like this.

This is exactly what I thought about those blind boxes, I wanted to get a TMNT box, but I had a feeling this would happen (them being switched) or I'd get a bunch of crap I didn't want I see in target all the time. I feel the same way, this is just a way to remove a lot of the stuff they can't sell. A couple of my Target's have also been cleared of NECA figures.

I’m a big horror guy and love what NECA has offered. As far as figures go they’re the only ones I buy. Sucks they’ve been shitting the bed. Self inflicted unfortunately.

To be fair… you say NECA doesn’t care about collectors. That’s bull. Every product they churn out is for us. I mean you can act all high and mighty that a company caters to you and dares try to turn a profit, but that’s a you problem. NECA screwed up, people probably got fired. This will cost them a lot of money. So be a bro and do right by the community. I know it’s not our fault, but in the interests of companies who do put out this stuff for us. Just once, do right by the community. The folk sat on their smug backsides saying they shouldn’t have to send it back, you’re damaging our community.
