Yeah I have to agree with you on that front. Plus the story for P1 didn’t make any damn sense; I mean was it trying to be the Bourne identity or Redident Evil? If it was just one aspect it would have been better and Mercer’s powers didn’t fit his physique at all since he looked more built for speed and agility over strength and power. Personally for me his powers should have been these monsters. Wrist blades: a power that has deadly blades extend from Alex’s wrists where can do a five slice combo to slice human sized enemies in half or pieces and can mutate them to be serrated and extended. His special is a blade lunge where he tenses his legs before lunging towards his target with his blades forward and impaling his foe. Stone fists: Turning his fists into stone gives Alex serious strength to crush tanks, buildings and battleships with shockwaves going at 12 feet wide. Special is a ground smash where he smashes the ground causing spikes to jut from the ground and a 1 magnitude earthquake. Chain fist: forms a chain from Alex’s left arm where can whip it around and do a chain impale that hits enemies surrounding him. Special is a chain hurricane where Mercer whips around like a hurricane and his chain extends to hit surrounding targets. Elbow knife: A power that has Mercer turn his arm below his elbow into a knife built for taking on medium infected and can hurt them while taking down human sized targets in one hit. Special is a knife drill where he spins forward and the target is cut to pieces. Stinger: Forming a stinger he gets from a scorpion infected where he can poison his foe and shot out a deadly venom at a far target or a crowd to disorientate and even kill them. Special is a venom bomb where he loads a bunch of venom and fires it out of the stinger hitting his targets. Bio nuke: A power where he injects nuclear energy into a target and the target explodes like a mini nuclear bomb killing everyone except him. Titanic explosion: a devastator that has Mercer stomp the ground very hard with giant spike jutting from the ground before exploding like a bomb with thick tendrils hitting his foes while nuclear energy blows everyone to ashes. Armor gauntlets: This power lets Alex form a pair of indestructible armored gauntlets on his arms he can use to block attacks from foes be it a regular human or superhuman that prefers to fights up close and deflect bullets along with rockets. Blitz: A power that has Alex blitz towards an opponent on the ground or zip away from them faster than they blink. Canon legs: A travel power that increases Mercer’s single bound jumps and his air dash to make him go further. His superhuman physical abilities will be upgraded to let him lift buildings, run at Mach speeds, and take great damages from bombs and torpedoes while his glide will have extra flight from either wings or a skin flap. He’ll also have a radar pulse over the useless visions while his healing factor will be improved by consuming a lizard infected. All in all, Prototype needs a serious retcon because trying to make like resident evil was where it went all wrong.

I like both games but 1st one more since more powers and you can send airstrikes and destroy buildings and infiltrating bases.

I find the strike team easy, I skyjack a heli with whipfist then fire homing missiles at other helicopters.
