First things first, Puerto Rico is not a territory of the US, it is, SCOTUS words, a mere possession, foreign, in a domestic sense. People say territory in order to dilute the connotation of a colony. It is not a commonwealth, a term used to appease or placate he UN members on the implications of it being a colony wit no power for self determination. WE are not US citizens, US citizens have ALL the rights and obligations of citizenship, and the supposed protection by the state. Partial citizenship that congress giveth or taketh, is NOT real citizenship. We do not have representation in congress, except for the official beggar called resident commissioner, that has the same rights and respect of an indian commissioner, ie, none. WE have no voting rights and we are subject to the plenary mandates of US congress, we can not elect the president nor members of congress as any other US citizen. n 1917 the so called citizenship was not granted, it was imposed, the members of the chamber of delegates voted against US citizenship and that vote was ignored. In the constitution of the ELA commonwealth, 25 July 1952, recognized by the US congress, stated that from the date of such constitution the citizens of Puerto Rico will be called ciudadanos del Estado Libre Asociado, "Sección 5. En lo sucesivo la expresión “ciudadano del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico”, sustituirá a la expresión “ciudadano de Puerto Rico” según ésta ha sido usada antes de la vigencia de esta Constitución." This means that congress recognized Puerto Rican citizenship before 1952 and recognizes it since 1952.

Thank you for the video, its an optimistic view of US PR 126 year relationship, but overall everything mention is pretty accurate, one thing I read before tho, that even for PRs island born they would still need the PR Certificate for 2 year citizenship in Spain(despite PR being one the first colonies(1493) and granted autonomous province of Spain(1897), you would think citizenship will be even faster than 2 years) , the El Salvador 1 year fast track is news to me or about any other Latin American countries that welcomed island PRs

There IS NOT PuertoRican citizenship, the only one we have is the North American citizenship given to us in 1917! What we have is the PuertoRican Nationality, not citizenship, the Idiosincrasy of having born in this Island, learn more!

It’s American citizenship, not North American citizenship. Btw, PR should be its own independent sovereign nation or be given back to Spain.

Great you get to spend money 💸 feeding her kids before you really meet to spend more money 🤑 💰 on food feeding her 🤣😂🤣 this seems more convenient for gold diggers to use men they are not interested in why not send her groceries or gas ⛽️ for her scooter 🛵🤷♂️I should make an app for that too 🤪if rappi is making money 💰 off the app why do you have to pay? I can see a lot of women getting the food making an excuse not to talk then blocking you the next day! 🤣😂🤣😂 thanks for the free food for me and hubby sucker! 🤔 by the way I checked it out. The top membership is $99.00 usd per month.! Not cop! You know what I checked the app out cause I do not want to be a hater let’s say you get the free option. You get five messages hello is one message how are you? It is another message five messages a month if you pay 20$ usd you get 200 $100 usd you get 1000 it goes quick if you have a conversation, just asking someone how their day was could be 50 messages if you try to send your phone number or ask to talk on the phone you get a message threatening to ban your account like you’re doing something wrong if you try to talk to him on video call you have to pay for a virtual drink! $6 usd , which is a five minute conversation you’re paying for they charge you to talk to that person! Then they have a virtual meal if you wanna talk to him for 30 minutes, you have to plan this out ahead! $24 usd! You want to spend? For an actual meal $40 usd 30 minute conversation they monetize every single thing. This app is a total rip off. When every conversation you have to pay for everything you type you have to pay for that’s after you pay your monthly dues scam alert.

In some other videos I've seen on this, they gave the impression you needed to have a previous entry, and then your overstayed entry. So at least 2 individual entries, especially if the first entry was before 2022. Is this the case? Or can you come for your first time, overstay, and apply? Also if you have passed immigration before...do you need the physical passport stamp or card from your first entry during application? Or are you automatically entered and they will pull this information up during your application? If you only passed immigration through the airport during self transfer, does this count(not for the overstay, but is it counted as a legitimate entry into the country)?

My Brazilian friend, who is a little on the spectrum but unique and mildly inteligent in his own way, told me not to get a CPF. He said that he doesn't trust the government, and that he thinks at some point they might eventually require tourists who have a cpf to file taxes in Brazil, which I think would be incredibly unlikely, if not outright impossible. What do you think? That would require them to totally change their tax law, and come after people who came to Brazil for a month a decade ago and just wanted to get a sim card. Seems silly to me. At any rate, might it be a smart choice for those wanting to stay out of government systems and not wanting to be tracked.

I have been living in Guadalajara for the last 3 years. I found an absolute utopia neighborhood in Zapopan. Only a few blocks from Parque Metropolitano which is an absolutely beautiful park with 5 km of walking and bike paths, and I am right across from Plaza Gallerias, another really modern and beautiful mall. I ride a bike everywhere and the other places mentioned on this video are at most only about a half hour bike ride for me, and half of those trips are in designated bicycle lanes. My neighbors are all professionals and the street I live on has fruit trees everywhere and is wonderfully landscaped.

Latin people are generally much warmer than people in the U.S. I am aware that Saiyan grew up in New York but landed in Cali. I thought he now lives in Cali, but apparently he now lives in Miami, which is a latin city in the sense that Spanish is the primary language for the majority of the greater Miami area. It seems like he landed in Cali almost by accident. Although he is always raving about Cali, it seems that he has multiple locations and may create others, if I understood him correctly. I vowed him as an ambassador for Cali, but it seems he has much more going on.

I afree totally with the previous comment! My husband was born in Puerto Rico. A year and a half ago we moved to Maunabo from the states to be closer to his family. The lighthouse in this video that has a large rectangular base is in Maunabo. The black sand beach is to the right (lower part of this video) of the lighthouse and the beautiful nature preserve beach is to the left. (upper part of the video) It is obvious that ALL the other images in this video do not come from Puerto Rico simply because Puerto Rico doesn't have any area that has a desert climate.. Yes, the southwest area of the island, the Cabo Rojo area, is considered a tropical desert but it is VERY easy to see that the images in the video do not depict such a biosphere! Ugh, Puerto Rico, with its people and culture, is an amazing place to live! I was born in the States but, as a liberal person, I much prefer Puerto Rico. The culture iin Puerto Rico is much more similar to Europe than the US. It is really only in San Juan where you would get a feeling of U.S. influence on society. That is simply because it is the biggest city on the island. The society in San Juan is HEAVILY influenced by NYC and New England simply because of people from the island moving to that area in big numbers when U.S. policy made life miserable on the island. There are more Puerto Ricans living in the States than on the island! Unfortunately, it is a simple lack of understanding PR's history that allowed the creator of this video to overlook the obvious mistakes in imagery. It's kind of offensive in the same way that doing a video on Los Angeles and showing images of New York would be. Honestly, Puerto Rico is one of a few places on the planet that exists under colonial rule. When you think about it, EVERYONE in the U.S. should be upset on how U.S. citizens here are, by definition, second class. The only real reason that is is because of racist ideas from the Insular Cases decided by the Supreme Court that were decided over 100 years ago that are still enforced today. That is a part of the reason Puerto Rico offers citizenship that allows for sped up citizenship in Spain. Ultimately, the U.S. Government has little desire to make Puerto Ricans on the island equal. Honestly, how messed up is it that it is ONLY when Puerto Ricans move to the U.S. that they are treated equally!?! The racism is obvious since I am a white guy born in Nebraska, yet, it is ONLY because I chose to I live in PR that I no longer am considered a first class citizen. Sad to say but the U.S. government is basically saying that since I decided to marry out of my race and embrace their culture, I deserve losing my rights. Where else does that happen? You can say I'm wrong but just look at the real history of the territories the U.S. gained control over after the Spanish-American war. The islands in the Pacific and PR were all treated differently because of racism and how easily the U.S. could exploit a lesser class of people and their land. How else can you explain why the Philippines was allowed independence from the U.S.? The U.S. didn't grant Filipinos U.S. citizenship unless they could prove that their mother was knocked up by a U.S. servicemember or U.S. citizen. Even to this day there are Filipinos still trying to prove their father was in the U.S. military so that they can legally claim U.S. citizenship! Also, people from Samoa are not born U.S. citizens even though were born in a U.S. territory just like Puerto Rico. They have to apply for citizenship even though the U.S. has complete control over their lives!!! In that sense, I guess us Puerto Rican residents are lucky that the U.S. was only a LITTLE BIT racist when granting citizenship. It's all a bunch of insanity!!!

Interesting perspective on El Salvador at 49min. Not sure about the no freedom of speech in El Salvador. If anything because of the president there is now more freedom of speech. I'd say from the Peruvian & Canadian perspective El Salvador is looking really good now compared to how it was a few years ago. They recently removed visa requirements for Peruvians for example.. and a lot of Peruvian talks about the new better security seen in El Salvador and finding ways to implement that in Peru but I doubt that'll happen.
