Working in Indian Railways as JE, my father retired from SAIL as GM, PSU working culture, salary structure as well as medical and educational facilities are worth it. Most of the PSU job are overshadowed and sometimes labeled as sarkari but in reality its way more different. Private sector me bhi acchi job hai but agar aap 2-3 lakh monthly milay pune ya banglore jaise city me so ussay better hai ki kisi tier2 ya tier3 city me 70k se 1 lakh salary pana.

Im so glad that u could share a realistic perspective. Most people dont understand that there are both pros and oncs of working in a PSU. PSUs have a lot of workload and salaries arent always the best. But talking about the overall perspective, PSU jobs are better than most of the private jobs in metro cities.

@lifeofapsuofficer exactly just because it is not eye catching, no social media glory and bad mouth marketing like NPA badh gaya PSU bech do sarkari wale kaam nai karte and SBI hai lunch k baad aana these type of things. Mujhe sabse jyada dimag kharab hota hai jab koi software job wala ya uske parents kisi family function me mile and glorify karne lage ki mere bera beti ki 1.5 lakh 2 lakh ki job lagi usko US bheja ja raha hai. Yaar agar foreign trip hata do to kuch bhi nai hai usme aap itne mehange city me kama rahe ho wo kisi chote shahar me 70k k barabar bhi nai hai and log issay accha aur sarkari naukri ko chhota samjhte hai

GATE exam is the only gateway for entry in PSUs. Consider appearing for GATE :)

According to some people 2 lakh per month salary is upper middle class. Different people have different definition of "rich" in India. Our household / family income is good (4 members) but even we consider ourselves upper middle class and not rich.

True…before reading the book definition of RIcH, I also considered myself upper middle class and that y people mocked me for still not being rich. When I saw the figures, Im actually RICh. Poor middle class mentality 😂😂

😂😂 Im sure…only benefit psu adds over private employment is the medical expenses, which can be a substantial burden to anyone. Rest to i believe over the time salaries becomes equivalent.

Mam can you share any ammount in their total 35 year of service in any psu like iocl,ntpc etc that he make overall like investing n all did you see any one who created a corpus of more then 15 cr while working in psu ????

@@gamingclub5816 As i already said that the amount one saved/invested depends on alot of factors. But given if u dont have much financial liabilities towards family and u have good investments, 15cr is no big deal at the end of career. Many executives retire with this net worth.

Regarding caste comment…i mentioned being Baniya and being proud of it bcoz people usually mock baniyas for being money minded. So wen i said that I started thinking and doing investments early on, thats bcoz of my Baniya trait, of which Im proud 😅 So it was on a lighter note of people trying to mock Baniya. I hope u get it.

I completed my B. Tech from Haldia, from where u u r doing job. I m very much tensed right now bcz of gate exam in 25 days...

There is service bond…which depends on ur category. U need to repay the bond amount if u resign before the said period.

Hi mam, I take gate coaching from ace Accademy RECORDED CLASS, I am studying B tech mechanical engineering 3rd, year, normal tier 3 college Material Also provided by coaching centre My Question is, I saw the video and practice Material provided by coaching centre without writting the Hand Notes Or I saw the video and Mam is it necessary to write the self Hand notebook ? I'd say Hand-written notes help in better learning. 🙂 Also i personally feel that as per ur understanding its better to prepare ur own notes in ur own language and style for further revision.

Yahi transfers ki waja se maine 8 saal pehle GATE. , PSU mai job karne ka decision cancel kiya tha , now after 5 year doing equity trading , i am a successful profitable trader.

I do gate da this is my 1st attempt And i complete data structure through python , algorithm , artificial intelligence , and calculas , linear algebra Probability and statistics , general aptitude , machine learning or dbms bacha h Probability and statistics and general aptitude ho payga bhaki dono possible nhi lag rha h And important point - revision nhi hua h Semester exam start ha + 1 back + internship issues What do please for gate exam
