Thank you so much for the tutorial! I would never have dared to change the handlebar myself without this very clear explanation. I also switched to a more aerodynamic handlebar with a flatter top, and it’s a game changer! I no longer experience numbness in my hands, and I can enjoy longer rides now.

Shane, old video, I know, - but do you know if Zwift ever plan to sell just the controllers, so they could be mounted on existing handlebars just as you did in the video? Otherwise, buying the complete Zwift ride is the only option as I see it. It's kind of a pity, if you, as I in my case, am very happy with the indoor set up.
@gplamaКүн бұрын
No word on then selling just the Ride controllers/levers. The alternative is to buy the Zwift Play controllers and mount them.
@mattsammekull780Күн бұрын
@@gplama Cheers for getting back to me Shane. The problem with the Zwift plays (I already have those) is shifting: when I'm in my sprint, I really miss the option to easily shift gears without moving my hand position.

The question is how hard should you press the wheel. Thanks a bunch
@gplamaКүн бұрын
Enough to secure the bike (on the trainer). And for the tyre - enough so it doesn’t slip during sprints.

AWESOME! 😎First pedal came off ok, with hex/allan key. second pedal nope, so used same technique with 15mm spanner as it had more leverage. result - many thanks it's also easy to remember, on the side thats down pull up - assuming you are facing the direction you'd ride the bike in. Many Thanks!

Anyone else noticing low power values running GP5000S TR? Around 30 km/h I only have about 80-100W and the resistance feel really weird. Changing to a GP5000 TL with a tube and the power is back to 110-130 at 30 km/h. And yes I have been running a calibration before every ride.
@gplama3 күн бұрын
That's a lot of difference. Maybe look up how the TR performs head to head against the TL over on Bicycle Rolling Resistance. Ultimately for more accurate power you'll need to be using a direct drive smart trainer and/or using a power meter on the bike.

Bad cartography : lake and river whites, maps freezed and stopped. No sense to use as a bike navigator. No possibility to have the tools for the map configuration. Only name of street yes or not, dem yes or not. Renderazing very bad. The strong of this devise would be the map with a big screen, and in this option, the function is very but very bad.

Good day to you. This is the first time I hear this trainer doesn't have a cadence meter. When im using it i see my cadence but it is far undermeasured (65 instead of 85). Since i purchased it i try to calibrate using the Onelapfit app but it stays as is. Even at Decathlon they do not undertand... What makes you think there is no cadence meter, maybe this is the answer....
@gplama4 күн бұрын
The D100 has NO cadence sensor or ability to report cadence. This has been outlined in a number of reviews. Whatever it's transmitting as cadence is junk data.

A good question for the companies who make them to dig into and resolve. As a consumer I get them replaced under warranty or simply stop using them (and eventually throw them out).
@AOL03214 күн бұрын
I installed this yesterday on my bike and it was a very easy process from install to calibration/zeroing. One thing, make sure you have the power display on your Garmin set to 3 second avg., as my power numbers under the standard “ Power” display fluctuated so wildly. I did not try it yet on the 3 second but I’ve heard that is much better.

Our club would like to record private recreational club pickleball matches with a drone autonomously. Do you recommend using the DJI NEO or flip? If so, how would you set up the drone?
@gplama5 күн бұрын
Depending on what angle you want to capture, but I think you'd be better setting up two action cams at each end (or each side?) high up on a light pole vs using a drone with limited battery life (and noise) for this task.

Any word on this feature coming back? I see it the only easy way of getting telemetry data back for GoPro devices. I really wish they'd copy Insta360's approach by using their app synced with Garmin to provide data overlays. I miss Virb Edit!

It still exists. Overlay post production with only mobile apps is horrible. Desktop software is so much easier to use/sync/customise.

Wheel-off trainer are always a better option.
@d4v976 күн бұрын
@gplama ok, thanks, I get it. What I'm asking is which of the two is better, because It seems like that the Van Rysel is very low-level/budget while the Wahoo is more intermediate-like. Am I wrong? Thanks for all your work, I really appreciate your videos.
@gplama6 күн бұрын
@@d4v97 The SNAP does have better capabilities for peak power and gradient simulation, however being a wheel-on there is the requirement to always perform a spin-down after a warm-up to ensure the power numbers are ballpark correct.

Hi, haven't bought this product yet - how can I sync a ride on this trainer to Strava for instance? I've read that it doesn't have ANT+ so can't use my bike computer I think

You’ll need to use a platform such as Zwift, TrainerRoad, Rouvy, etc. Those will control the trainer and upload the data to services such as Strava.

Hey Shane, it’s Shane, I wonder if you could get Zwift to allow us to select and jump into a route badge directly from the Achievement area… seems obvious to be able to “select and ride” the missing achievement from where you see that it’s missing… but maybe I’m just thinking too logical.

One cool feature that Zwift could make is a route builder option. Would it not be cool to allow us to build a route to ride? So before your planned ride sit down build a route and then go for the ride! Sort of like using ride with gps to build a planned bike ride.

Just received my MX-2's. I will be charging/calibrating/installing later today. My one concern which I just learned from the manual, I use the Shimano Multi-Release style cleats because I have a neurological foot-drop condition where I can only unclip my right foot by turning in with my foot, rather than out like normal. The manual states outward release only? Hoping the Multi-Release cleats are compatible...
