gifts have always been a whole event in dragon age with some kind of story, interesting dialogue. It was always so cool to give a gift and chat with companions about it. The people who made the last game clearly did not understand all the subtleties for which we all loved the previous games.

I agree with SOME of the complaints about Taash's character (the non binary stuff is a little too much and they're just not that likeable as a character regardless of gender), the romances were really lackluster leaving us waiting way more, and it was a bit too lighthearted. Sure it wasn't what I waited 10 years for, but it was far from being 1 star trash that some people were saying it is, but it's far from being a 5 star GOTY contender too. They absolutely nailed the combat, and that was the only thing they did right in Andromeda so hopefully Bioware keeps improving even if it's a slow process and takes the fair criticisms to improve and not call it hate (they tend to mix together the fake hate reviews and the fair criticisms). I'm just glad I enjoyed it enough.

10 / 10 game by the way, according to "professional" reviewers. 🤣

To be fair, most gifts in Origins didn't trigger a cut scene.

Since Origins male dragons are smaller and don't have wings. Taash is a dragon expert and Davrin is not so go with what Taash and the Elven God says over a clueless grey warden.

Lusacan in DA lore is referred to as 'he,' which is probably what Davrin's talking about. He doesn't seem to understand dragons very well - and they're not really dragons anymore, they're archdemons, which Taash doesn't really understand. The Archdemons are extensions of the Evanuris (containing some of their soul or essence) so in this case, the 'dragon' is an empty shell hosting part of Elgar'nan, hence why Elgar'nan also refers to himself as Lusacan. They're both male. Solas calls it 'her' to disrespect Elgar'nan, probably, and remind us that it was once a free, living creature that was brutally bound and enslaved. It WAS a female dragon, now it's just a horrible OTT shell housing part of Elgar'nan. Why is this kinda complex and convoluted? Because in Origins, the archdemons were supposed to look like what they were - the Blighted Evanuris mistaken as Tevinter gods. But the dev team got told they had to include more dragons in a game called Dragon Age, so they came up with the bound dragon so our final boss could be more draconic.

Are you able to pick up the quest, go get Davrin, choose to save Treviso and STILL go do this?? Or do I need to just put off talking with Lucanis until after I go thru all that?? Not sure how long companion quests will stick around. I know I had one for Taash, went and did something else and they went off and did it anyway, so I just wanna be sure what the steps are for this

I become very attached to game characters. Every game I played so far. Bu Dragon Age The Valiguard? Nothing, I don't care about them, they boring I don't even care for my playable character. I don't have ,,urge'' to play it everyday or late to see what will happen. Literally I played it twice Im about in the middle of the story and I am no curious what is next at all

To be fair, that only happened in Origins if you hand the *right* gift. The ones aligned with that character. You could give them other things and they'd barely react at all.
