Nice looking and great restoration work I have one of these in my garage parked for 44 yrs. Engine & trans needs work but entire body is dent free and also already primered. Most of chrome parts is in tack. Jt was my first car in high school back in summer of 1972

that was my dream car when i was a teen. a friend of the family had a 280Z and she let me drive it a couple of times. When I got stationed in Japan, I was able to pick up a "Fairlady Z" for like $1000. Drove it for 3 years and sold it for $1200 when I left.

The tires are far from period correct . KEY INNOVATIONS It’s more than just crossing the finish line first that excites us. BFGoodrich is driven to produce industry-first technology in all of its tire segments. 1947: First tubeless tire for American cars. 1965: First radial tire on the American market: the Lifesaver. 1967: First run-flat tire. 1972: Launches radial-ply touring tires in North America, while other manufacturers continue to develop “Bias-ply” tires. 1976: The world’s first all-terrain tire. 1999: The first tire with coloured lettering is introduced: The Scorcher T/A. 2002: The world’s first 24-inch 4X4 is released. 2016: Commemorates 40 years of SCORE BAJA Racing and the 40th anniversary of the Radial All-Terrain tire.

PRETTY CAR. ALL OF GM'S 1959 CARS WERE REALLY QUITE BEAUTIFUL. MY FAVORITE IS THE 1959 BONNEVILLE. FROM THE DIVIDED GRILLE to the beautiful double tail fin rear, it was georgeous. It was one of GM'S best years for design

I disagree. I've owned one of these and I have to say I was deeply disappointed. First, this 3.0 flat six produced very little horsepower therefore it was rather slow. Lightweight it was was but all of it was behind the rear axel so the front suspension could not hold the road and it handled poorly. Clutch was very hard and combined way too long shift throws, one would think it was a truck. Lets see, anything else? Air conditioning is essentially non existent and mine being black on black in LA summer heat, it was not fun. I recommend a later 911 as the weight distribution along with the power made monumental progress. I also owned a first generation boxster though slightly improved power but the mid engine configuration really became a outstanding car to drive.
@anesennaidoo5279Ай бұрын
Really sorry to hear about your bad experience. I wont disagree with it because from what I know about Pre '90s 911s is that every single one drives differently - all depending on the state of tune, the suspension and tires. I think it will be tough to get you to buy another one but go test drive a few, try another SC or 3.2 Carrera. When the cars are healthy there is plenty of power and handles beautifully. Good luck.

when i was 18 had a 72 short wheelbase *green with white stripe tug and roll seats* white spoke rims,west coast mirrors, gun rack, red neck bar*aka sliding back glass* with 302 boss, pos rear end, dual exhaust, with 18-inch glass packs, loved that truck I would power brake ripped 3 Transmisson's out before figuring out how to stop it from tweaking. every time I left the house the po-po would be on me like white on rice lol ended up having to sale it one week later the person that bought it wrapped it around a tree dodging a cow neither was hurt other than the truck
