I was an absolute Ford nut when these came out. I personally knew 13 people who bought new 1969 Fords. They were everywhere. My friends mom bought a Galaxie 500 convertible which is even more rare than this car. I remember that it had a 3 speed manual transmission on the column, manual steering and brakes. It probably was not fun to drive!
