Nc state always plays scrappy with fsu. But, the next year. Fsu put them in their place again. Sometimes, the underdog wins.

I left at half and had fun watching from tailgate lot. Learned my lesson about leaving early, however, not like I cared if we came back and beat Maryland... if it was Clemson, I might have been upset to have missed staying in there.

Well this is when espn was good! Such nostalgic seeing this in HDTV! But they didn't show the espn hd logo on the bottom ticker until months later

This is AMAZING!! I remember being 9 years old the morning after, watching this exact segment like it was yesterday. Man, it would be amazing to see them do it again this year. Thank you so much for posting this, you’ve got a whole bunch of great Canes gems!

Was front row in section 6 for this game (student wolfpack club). There was a redhead guy who jumped on the field a bit early who was promptly arrested. I hate the entire student body didn't rush. Great game.

Don't care what anyone says, Mrazek did more for this team than the "better" goalies that have come after him. I know he's injury prone, and can be wild, but sorry Andersen, Raanta, whoever, haven't done for the team and fanbase what Petr helped do imo.

I was there for this game and I remember the whole crowd chanting “goal, goal, goal!” Crowd went crazy after the official announcement. Almost the craziest canes game I’ve been to. Game 7 against Buffalo is still the wildest one I’ve been to. Didn’t get to see the cup final game in person, so that is the best I got.

I was in Crapel Hill that day watching the Holes vs Blue Devils with my Tarheel bro inlaw. The u*NC fans were having a field day with every Maryland score in the 1st half chanting "fear the turtle" and whatnot. Then later it was comments like "that score can't be right" and "what the hell is going on in Raleigh?" from the heel fans. LOL

Russell Wilson in 4 years in college was the best QB in both the ACC and Big 10. He led both conferences every year in TD passes and total touchdowns. He had 132 total touchdowns, 109 TD passes with just 30 INTs. Now look at the teams with NFL talent he put those stats against. Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College, North Carolina, Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, Nebraska, Oregon, Iowa and Minnesota. That's a outstanding collection of schools he competed against.

I come here often and I'm so glad this is on KZbin for all of us to see. This was the first year I was a Caniac. Before that I was a rabid Pens fan but that all changed when Justin Williams announced he was coming home. That was by far the most fun year of hockey I've ever watched and the memories I made that year will stick with me forever. I was in the commons room in my dorm watching this game by myself and when Nino scored, I legit broke down and cried for most of the rest of that game. I knew what I was signing up for when I decided to be a Caniac and going into the year, a part of me figured they'd probably be close to the playoffs, but when they finally made it that night, it was an incredible feeling of relief and excitement. How I wish I could get that same feeling back now. This year has been so much fun, but it'll never be nearly as fun as 2019.

I’ve been a lifelong Canes fan but I wasn’t ever into hockey from 2014 right up until the 2021 playoffs. Man, I love watching videos of the team during this time just to remind me how far we’ve come, from laughing stock to yearly cup contenders
