Tinde: Those yarns are usually discounted if there is less than 100gram or if the color does not perfectly match the color palette. So technically its nothing wrong with them to just grab and knit with them, but as thery dont match the manufacturers description they cannot be sold for a full price :)

My recommendation to new knitters is to 1.learn continental style 2. do your own double pointed needles from bamboo sticks 3.make a hook shape to one tip of the needle and sandpaper them to give them soft slipping surface 4.use hooktips for pulling the yarn. I wish I knew all these at the beginning. Low cost, no hand wrist pain and fast knitting! That is all

You said "once you know how to knit and purl, it's the time to learn how to cast on"........ehhmm.....no!! You can't learn knit and purls if you don’t cast on stitches first!!!

I am working on a cardigan that has a repeating popcorn stitch motif. It looks cute but I regret it because it is my first cardigan, and the popcorn takes a long time for me. It's the Hezea on Ravelry.

I made a chunky cable cardigan by French Girl Knits in Rowan bulky yarn and it was EASY! I’m sorry that I can’t remember the name of it (this was in 2007) but look it up because it was a quick knit and it was easy and I love it.

When you talked about wearing a jacket over the cardigan, I was like 😳 omg you’re going to melt. Then I remembered, not everybody lives in an oven. And I’m so jealous. I get to occasionally wear a sweater, but most of the time it’s too hot 😭😭😭😭

I hesitate to use blown yarns because I’m unsure of their performance over time. Wish someone with some well-used garments would do a wear review type thing.

I made a sweater for my cousin in drops air and it holds up nicely but pills quite a lot…
@umimmakАй бұрын
I made a sweater only in Snefnug. It holds up well, but it definitely does pill a lot more and much faster than a non-blown yarn.
@iliketoknitАй бұрын
I don’t mind pilling, but I’ve used Drops Air quite a lot over the years and those sweaters have all held up really well.

I have a novice sweater in Kos by Sandnes Garn. It was my first project, almost two years ago now. I wear it so much and love it. The yarn makes a light and airy fabric that I find really nice on the skin. I overheat and freeze easily, and the Kos is really great for that ❤

Yeah I’ve heard it pills easily and kind of “deflates” sometimes
