To solve the visibility issue at the end of the video, maybe try this if it works: 1. Make the Adaptive Family a Wall Category. 2. Make its geometry Void. 3. Load into the project and cut the Family and the wall.

@BINHE6156 күн бұрын
Seems like the infamous 90degrees bug on rotation angle. (10x9). Maybe change the angle slightly so you will never get 90 degrees. Eg. 10.1

How to batch remove material from rfa files? I have over 500 rfa files and I need to remove all colors to default?

Unfortunately, I don’t know any coding stuff. I believe it is possible to automate opening file and deleting all the materials in the material library in the family. I will do some research.

Bin, push SQ when trying to snap to quadrants. It will ignore other snaps. Check out your snaps menu for shortcuts to snapping to other nodes

Thank you so much sir! That exactly what I need for our project this term. However, there's a concern. What if there's a slope of bridge?
@BINHE61510 күн бұрын
When you place this family, it will automatically snap onto the surface of an element, e.g. a floor. When you adjust the slope of that floor, it will follow. You can also select the adaptive points after it is placed and change the work plane to not associated, after that, you will be able to adjust the elevation of that point manually.

Can you please make a video about creating hollow core slabs families for different thickness (150mm, 250, & 400) and just like the built in, they can be used in splitting and automatic shop drawing. Im a beginner so please bear with me . i have autocad sections, so if you can show me how to start with importing them then using them.
@BINHE6159 күн бұрын
I don’t think you need to model them yourself. Try to download the precast addin and I’m pretty sure you can use it to create them in no time.

That is it exactly Bin, thanx Although it’s a short one but full of tips and tricks. Actually you need only 2 sides of the rectangle … enough in order to avoid duplicated members. I would select the top adaptive point by small window + filter But good to know about visibility parameter … I did not knew about that before, very useful to know Also to hide the form in order to avoid link the members to the form in stead of reference lines is very important thing to know It would be nice in the future to make a tutorial where you go through all the properties in mass and explain what means all the headings …. You know Revit is not so intuitive to know what the parameter could be
@BINHE6159 күн бұрын
Thanks Samer. I agree with the 2 edges to avoid duplication, I was too lazy to fix that :). I will have a think about your suggestion, to be honest I only really understand some of them, those I always use, sometimes I just randomly try them until it works :) Can you help me post it? www.reddit.com/r/BinHe615 do you use Reddit?

@@BINHE615 Hi Bin … i don’t know Reddit But I can post the question in the shared document as we use to do , if this will help you? Even if you know only some of them it would be a great help to know what that could be used for. Actually there are no many tutorials about that on the net, and to search about that in Revits help is a hell !

Reddit is a forum, on which I have created a community dedicated for my channel. I have posted hundreds of my video links there with different categories so people can easily and what they like to see. People can also post request with images and interact with others or answer questions. When a question is answered or a request is fulfilled, people can mark that post as answered to help themselves or others. Even if you do not have an account, I believe you can still view everything. Click on the link and have a try. :)
