Hi, I just had the same problem the reason I got it is I slammed the break twice to see if my ABS works. First time it was normal second one I was going 30-40mph or less I slammed it and the message popped up! I just want to ask of what should I do about it?
@DmitrySapko14 күн бұрын
Well, make sure you check the fluid level and brakes thickness. If everything ok, try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes (minus is first out and last connected). If it pops up again after that, a good scanner is needed.

Thank you for your informative video. I have the 85ps version of this engine on a December 2019 Ford Fiesta. Do you know if this engine has a wet belt or a normal timing belt system? Thank you for your help.
@DmitrySapko15 күн бұрын
Actually, the 1.0 Ecoboost Fox and the 1.1 ti-vct engines are technical twins (but the turbo). So yes, the 1.1 does have the wet belt. But it doesn't fail as often as in the turbo engine. Still, I wouldn't hope it will last the claimed 10 years or 150k miles.

I would find a good store that sells batteries. They usually have equipment to test the battery under load. Or use a multimeter to check if voltage drops below 9-9.5 volts when cranking in the morning.

I had this warning today with a check engine light and "engine malfunction" The Engine Malfunction hasn't happened again, so I am hoping it was just a low battery as I was BLASTING the AC, this video gives me some relief that it MAY be simple. Obviously with a check engine I still need to do a scan and be careful Car drove like normal too, I have had some more serious issues in the past so I can really feel when the car is sick, but this feels fine Next step is check fuses and do a scan.
@DmitrySapko24 күн бұрын
While the check engine is still on, scan it with any scanner - maybe even for free in some parts store.

Yes, right. But I wouldn't say power growth always affects fuel consuumption. 2015 CR-V 2.4L engine with direct injection is more powerful than the 2012-2014 2.4L engine yet it consumes significantly less fuel.

IDK. 2.0 non-turbo looks pretty good to me. CVT is just the cheap solution, but crap of course. Would love to see 2.0L with 6-speed automatic non-DCT transmission. But this is nothing more but a dream in current reality.

Have the same issue on my 2019 S60. My mechanic (not dealer) told me I should just wait until my main battery starts to go and then replace both batteries at the same time. Does that sound right? Also thank you so much for making this video, I stumbled accross it right when I was looking for this exact thing!
@DmitrySapkoАй бұрын
I wouldn't wait till both batteries are bad. They can and should be replaced separately. Aux one doesn't last long, especially with a lot of city driving. And a lot of other things may start glitching if you keep driving with a dying battery.
