If you see the “Transmission Fault Traction Reduced” warning in your Land Rover, you most likely own the Freelander to or the Range Rover Evoque 1. They both used the same transmission. But don’t hurry up with any repairs. It’s most likely not the transmission causing this issue. It may also say “Gearbox Fault Traction Reduced” in some markets.
In most cases, the problem is with the voltage (like with the alternator, battery, or maybe ground wiring). Also, the Haldex diff may cause issues that will lead to this message. Alternatively, you may check and add fluid to your transmission. If nothing helps, you will need professional help.
