Wait so this doesn’t fade in the wash? That’s amazing. What about an Ecotank printer?

Can you tell me what the ounces were total with oils and water? By the way, pretty

In Australia it’s harder getting freezer paper and we have A4 sized paper. A tip is to stick an A4 sticky label to your fabric, trim the fabric to size and put it through your printer. Works well.

Very late to to this video, but great information. Thanks! I use freezer paper for labels, but I write with fabric pens. Good idea about the printer. I’ll give it a go.

Always label, so far hand written, usually pieced in the backing prior to quilting which means label is there forever

Hi. I hope you are still active with this video comment section. I am sashing between my FPP blocks. The sashing is not as stable as the paper pieced block and is stretching a little. Just a tiny bit of "bunching" and not as flat as I would like. Any ideas???
@AQuiltingJewel6 ай бұрын
I don't sash often, but for the times when I piece a paper pieced blog to another piece of fabric I will either starch the other piece of fabric and/or use lots of pins. I will also baste sometimes to avoid the fabric moving on me. Basically, it takes a lot of patience.
@tonicastle9756 ай бұрын
Ah, yes! Starch would have been great. I completed the quilt already and it turned out fine in the end. Thanks for your reply. 😊

You have to make sure if using Ink Jet printer that the ink is the kind that has pigment in it or it will not be permanent when you wash or if it gets wet unless you use a fabric medium over top of it. Ask me how I know lol.

How does the ink hold up over time? Does it withstand washing?

Could you tell me the oil weight in ounces to fill this mold? I just bought one. Also how thick did you cut it? Looks more than 1 inch

Your idea about using the Wonder Clips was fantastic. Spot on, as there is so much distortion, when using pins. Thank you.

Hi Jen. Since you say you live in a humid area, you may find that you are replacing the painters tape. If that happens you might want to try using a product much like painters tape called Frog tape. Frog tape is green & the same texture as painters tape but it sticks much better! Great idea to use foam board for your design wall! Good luck!

This was a really helpful tutorial! I’m just getting started with paper piecing and I have seen so many tutorials about the paper piecing sections but they gloss over joining sections. Thank you!

Thanks a million for posting this, Jen. I'm training for my 31-36 halves and wanted something cute to wear that doesn't break the bank. I bought a bunch of bathing suit material on mega clearance a few years ago (gotta love those sales!), and they will be perfect for skirts. Thanks again and happy running!
