Any drawings on the wiring/parts on how to do this myself? I’d love to copy this, it’s laid out really well. Only worked with arduino a couple times but figuring this out would be an awesome project!

You can keep me a drawing thanks

Non ha funzionato correttamente, non so perché. Utilizzare invece Arduino con interruttori di arresto al piano/sensori ottici e pulsanti di selezione del piano all'esterno della porta. Non dimenticare gli interruttori di sicurezza all'apertura della porta

Hi I would like to build something like this from scratch is there a way I could get the part list for all the relays and switchs for three floors

Bravo

I would like to see how it operated before you converted it. ☹

Therein lies the problem: this was a double loop system with what I discovered was a deep shaft concealing a counterweight, which took over 100 ft of old hemp rope. The counterweight shaft was in an inaccessible area and unable to be cleaned out, so making it operate as it did almost a 100 years ago was not feasible

I was going old school with relays in a simple logic circuit, but there seems to be feedback issues even with diodes. I'm currently trying to configure an Ardorino to do the heavy lifting
@jstevens98062 жыл бұрын
This is the problem using antiquated circuits - it failed as you suggested correctly because of the feedback even though diodes were installed. Suggest using an Adarino with floor sensors/ switches instead.

Here's a link to the plate that I used for the three floor switch: www.kyleswitchplates.com/sierra-low-voltage-3-pushbutton-switch-wall-plates/ The switches themselves can be ordered on Amazon in a bulk pack of 12 or individually

Where did you get the 3 button switch. Any links would be great. Thanks.

@@jstevens9806 one more question. What controller are you using.thanks.

any specs on those relays? im using the same hoist as you

I want to build this exact setup, same number of floors and everything. Im trying to match the parts

I very much appreciate your dumbwaiter control project. Thank you for sharing it. I'm building something similar to your dumbwaiter, but it is a lightweight cargo lift (groceries, etc.) for our home. Would you be willing to share a schematic or sketch of the circuit for the final project with the 12v relays?
@jstevens98064 жыл бұрын
Garland, My project was a little more intense since there are three floors, but it's only a matter of simple relays with a 12-volt source, and a dead stop safety at either end. The buttons you choose which are available online, triggers the relay either up or down, until the dumbwaiter hits the dead stop. An older folk myself, I should have just gone ahead and used an Arduino computer, but you know, I'm old school and I just had to try it. I may redo it with the Arduino anyway.
@jstevens98064 жыл бұрын
Whoops, forgot: For safety sake, make sure you have some sort of switch on each door to disconnect the power to the entire relay system if the door is open.

@@jstevens9806 Thanks so much. I appreciate your advice (and creativity). I'll also look into the computer option. Planning and designing is half the fun. Garland

Not for sale, couldn't be.. too much customisation necessary. Additionally, the electronic 5v relays were swapped with traditional 12v ones as the small electronic versions could not handle the capacitor discharge when in operation. New video soon.

Done. Works perfectly.

Is this just for fun or are you really doing this?
@jstevens98062 жыл бұрын
Yes I really did this for real and it worked, however there's a hidden feedback loop that I can't trace. I suggest you use an Arduino instead of the physical crap we get from China
