Do you have any videos where you explain how to scale a drawing in archicad? The methods that you use in order to do that

Hello new friend, thanks so much for this express tutorial. I was skeptical, but you really covered the basics in 15 minutes, it's a great videoa. However, I saw at the end you removed the measurements for the doors etc. What do I need to do to get the measurements for all the rooms? Not as Sq M but as each wall eg 500cm x 600cm etc. Thanks so much! P.S is there also an easy way to see the length of a wall without the dimensions being on the page? e.g to hover over a wall and simply see it's length

Thanks! Great to hear you enjoyed the video! For measuring without using the dimension tool, if you tap the 'M' Key this should activate the measure tool. For the height and width measurements of a door or window, you can either turn on the build in marker, or you could use the label tool. If you use the lable tool you'll just need to adjust its settings to your preference then click on the door or window and it should give the sizes. I’ll put a link to the ArchiCAD Help guide for the tool below helpcenter.graphisoft.com/user-guide/129124/

I got lost at 1:15. How did you find that file location path?
@archguide6 күн бұрын
If your using a mac it will be at the bottom of your finder window. but if you can't see the file path there you'll need to turn it on (it's not on by default on a mac for some reason). to do this, with a finder window open. Choose View > Show Path Bar. then you'd just need to right click on the file path on the bottom of the finder window and "copy it's location".

Hey mate. Found your channel really good and thank you for sharing. Seen a few of your tutorials, and have one issue that have come up a few times. While we seem to have most of the same in a template, when it comes to "pen sets" I find very little options. Any tip on how to go about it? The black and white is not a thing for me, and while I can create my own pen sets in the future I kinda want to use what is available.When I tried making a all GREY pen set through the attribute manager by "marking all".. when changing to a color it just reverted back to the one I had to double click even though I had it all marked. This I saw was mentioned by a few others and could be a bug with us windowsusers for archicad 27?

Please help, how do turn on/off ( door's or window's label ) in my floor plan?. Example, I want my door and window label to be display for overall layout plan, but I want to turn it off for my RCP. Is there is a way to do it?
@patricktinashe281216 күн бұрын
I have a question. Been struggling with this for years. Let's say I have a floor plan. But some of my rooms are on different platform levels but I need to show all related doors and windows on the single floor plan. It seems the floor plan have one single cutting plane. Wish I could control that to specific areas. Can you assist? Thank you.
@archguide16 күн бұрын
Hi there, Sounds like a split level type of plan that your trying to show. On a 2D plan we can only show one slice of the building. So if we have a single story that is at two different heights, we can show that.... but when you add a third above one of the sections.. thats when we'd typically need to add another story and show it as a seperate plan. In ArchiCAD, the only way to seperate + set up these different levels is by setting up 'stories'. and decide the what parts of the building want to show on that one slice through the building. Wish I could offer some alternatives, but it's the only approach I've come across.

I am using Archicad 20 and I don't have the experimental features in my settings. Is there any alternative for that option in the older versions of Archicad?

Hi there, I don't think they have experimental features in the earlier versions of ArchiCAD, none at least that I've come across
