2:41 There is a trim tool in Archicad for matching the walls to the roof. Its easier to do that with the roofs
@archguide10 ай бұрын
the trim tool is a really quick way to cut elements to the roof... but if the roof changes it's shape or height, then we need to uncrop and re crop to the roof. I stick to solid element operations these days, it's a few more clicks but it saves me a bunch of back and forth in the long run.

Great tutorial! Is it better to change the orientation of the texture with Documents > Creative Imaging > Align 3D Texture, so you do not have to change the attributes of the material, should you use them elsewhere in a different orientation? (Obviously if fill direction isn’t required). Does one method have more benefit over another?

Thanks! In my mind it comes down to Localised change ( just the one or a few textures getting changed) vs universal change ( changing all the textures that have the surface applied at once). But at the end of the day there's a bunch of ways of solving the puzzle, if it gets the job done your sorted 👌

Great tutorial. Where can we find some beautiful background images like this one you have created? Thanks in advance...

Thanks! I generated mine using midjourney. But if you want to skip the leg work the backgrounds from this file are available on the free trial in the patreon.

What was the prompt you put on midjourney to get that forest(?) background? Anyway great video!

Thanks! Prompt used: "Elevation of a water colour coastal forest with a flat slab of concrete in the foreground on a white background"
