my fave pre 20th century war movies are as follows: The Last valley(1971) love this one very much watched it several times, best movie on the 30 years war. Waterloo 1970: Rod Steiger blows Phoenix in my opinion the best depiction of Nappy. Kingdom of Heaven Gladiator 2000 Four Feathers 1978 The Duellists The Good the Bad and the ugly its set during the US civil war and there are civil war battle scenes in the movie Major Dundee Last of the mohicans 1992 Flesh and Blood 1985

I have a weird thought, but can the solo combat actions from 5 Parsecs be used with the stats in the old 1st edition Rogue Trader 40k core rule book, using the Rogue Trader points tables as a way to balance skirmishes without the 5 Parsecs characters?

If you like this game consider backing it on GMT's P500. It needs more orders to get reprinted!

Finally got this on the table... We had 4 new players try this and it was a chore. The rule book and the turn sequence are all straight-forward...but (imo) vastly over complicated for the end result. I would be willing to try again, but only with 4+ players.

Played the heck out of this in the 80s. I prefer the Battleline version data cards though. Recently got back into gaming and had to get this, Dauntless, and the expansion.

I would love to see you guys do videos on your Favorite Space Games from the 70’s, or 80’s, or 90’s. Or maybe your Favorite Games That Will Never Be Reprinted. 😢 You’ve both just been exposed to so many micro games and obscure games that I’m sure there’s a hidden gem or two that we all need to know about, need to keep an eye out for, or need to petition a game company to pick it up and reprint it.

Regards, in Pickett's Charge: A Game of the Battle of Gettysburg... What is the difference between "(1) Charge Phase" and "(5) Close combat phase"? Maybe the first is only with cavalry and the second with infantry. How is the artillery shot or bombardment calculated? Is it the same for any unit or does it depend on the factor of the unit that is shot? for example, the difference between infantry that has greater strength or cavalry that is smaller, thank you very much.

The thing I found a little less appealing about the game is that the “allied victory hexes” are labelled the same as “redoubt” hexes. I played against a friend, and once I made a breakthrough as the allies, he retreated to the allied victory hexes assuming it was a redoubt, and we had a less than pleasant discussion. It would have been better if it were labelled differently.

You have some good ideas about variant scenarios; you should give them a try. You could even add ZOC. I might also rule that the craters are high-walled, so they become LOS blockers.

I think little wars would have been more well known in the past if there was a factory to help make the miniature for cheap, but most back then from what I can learn from is that most made it by hand
@CenturionsReview3 ай бұрын
Nearly 100% of the miniatures on the market today are made by factories. Very few people create their own molds and cast their miniatures.

This was the first war game I ever owned. Never cared for it much, super simple for a war game, played a few times though. I see you've never play many AH games, the plastic things are to hold the boards together.

I enjoy this little game quite a lot, especially when I play it at a slow enough pace to visualize all the monsters and various actions. I like rolling two dice simultaneously for each encounter--a blue die for my hero's attack, and a red die for the monster's attack. Thanks for showing this little gem to the world.
