Yeah, the OGRE Designer's Edition is MASSIVE and does have the chipboard units you assemble. After that, they did come out with a (I believe) 6th Edition of the game which is much smaller, but still uses the same large hexes, as the Designer's Edition but has plastic minis you can use instead of the assembled chipboard pieces. I think people would buy those just to put into their Designer's Edition to have plastic units. I guess it is a matter of preference.
