If the owl barons are hit while casting summon slave, the 1 minute cooldown is ignored. The fireball wizard is there for that bug. And the merchant is looting.

When they started changing it, they mostly did it for mvps and new monsters they released. So there's a bunch of older mobs you can find that still dropped loot, like all of the guild dungeon mobs. And then there's funny ones like byorgue that they made spawn mob every 1000 minutes instead of removing drops.

Recall slaves has a cooldown of 30 seconds and it isn't cast while chasing. So pull the mob away right after recall then you have plenty of time to get dark lord chasing you.

This was for drops. Meteo plate and sword guardian cards in particular at the time. exp is decent but I had nothing to level.

Yeah the other important info here is that the mob of the MVP is bugged and stuck in moving AI. This happens on the official game engine when the mob is recalled in the middle of a move command. The slaves will stop following until their master finds a target or the slave is attacked. So even official players who aren't aware of this mechanic call my video out for being performed on a private server lol.

Soft feathers usually vend for 50k-200k each depending on server inflation. They’re used to make feather berets and sunday hats too if I remember correctly.

Yes intentional. I don't fully understand how it works but for a mob to maintain aggro they need to be 12? cells away. Vision range is 14, so if I bug my position from 13-14 cells away, lady tanee will behave this way and the mobs won't aggro. So every time I hit lady tanee, she attacks once in retaliation and immediately loses aggro. And I guess the mob doesn't attack? Idk why it works like that. This range to maintain aggro is different from the detection aggro range. If you're 10 cells away from an aggressive mob (except satan morroc), they will detect you and start attacking/chasing. Whereas the maintain aggro range is to help mobs that already have you as a target, keep chasing you.

Hey Clicky. They're all bots. And if you pay attention you can even see I'm resurrecting the fireball wizard with WPE. Hope you don't think too negatively of me! I never cheated in woe. When it comes to cheating I definitely draw the line at competitive games and I don't want to ruin the experience for other players.

@@clusterfork Lol my bad. Somehow I could imagine Clicky naming his account like that. I did remember it as an Iron Maiden account though. Been a long time. Bots definitely save you from hunting the boring stuff, but I'm not sure that's the best solution. They can be fun to setup for certain roles but also tedious sometimes.

@@squirreluh What I’m thinking is to integrate the bots more deeply with the server and have an easier interface to interact with them. And then give each player a contingent they can command. Maybe in addition to some NPC-type bots that provide a bit of economy, hunting, buying and selling stuff. Not sure, still pretty vague!

The key difference for stacking majoruroses vs owl barons is that they're nonboss property. Nonboss monsters can exit ice wall by moving south or west, so you can push them into a southwest corner with diagonal ice wall layers. Once they're all on the same cell in the corner, you use the same ice walls as seen with owl barons in this video to keep them there, but they will attempt to chase when the surrounding ice wall layer falls. On rAthena, this attempt to chase was problematic, so I added another layer of ice wall so they wouldn't do that. You might have to account for different mechanics depending on server settings/engine. I have done this on rAthena and Aegis I think. Also, getting majos alone is much simpler since the mobs on the map are easier to deal with. I just teleport the minos away and clear the map once the majos are stacked. I'll think about uploading my majo footage. It's only the farming process and not the set up. I kind of want to do it again and record it but it's a little bit of work.

yeah they need to fix it ,they need to make that if it dies with minerals i nits hand , it still gives those minerals to you ; or at least make them drop it on the ground , or easier even , make those minirals go back to the mineral patch

👍 I have some screenshots and footage of farming majos, but none of the actually setting up. The difference in setups is really interesting, because majos are nonboss and only have 1 range unlike owl barons. Server mechanics also affect the setup a great deal too. If I had more time I might actually make a video on this too.

I've never actually seen that hitlocking before so I am interested in seeing it for myself. Are there even any aegis pre-renewal servers out there right now?

@@squirreluh There's kokoRO, but afaik most exploits have been patched out and it's 1x rates. Don't think hitlocking has been patched, though and reading through the Code of Conduct you'll probably get banned if you hitlock MVPs. AEGIS is available to download too if you know your way around setting up a local server. Unfortunately I have no experience on that front so can't offer you any help. Although there is a well written guide for the server-side of setting it up, it just doesn't cover the client side. I do have a now unlisted video that shows it, but it's from renewal so the "wow" factor is kind of lost there. Vid ID (avoiding spam filter): ttU4CILghKg Timestamps: 10:55 and 15:20 Works outside of instances too and from what little testing I did with a Hunter on iRO Classic, it does work in pre-renewal too. Just gotta be careful not to accidentally tele them. Fortunately 1 cell offscreen doesn't count as rude attack so HJ from FBH can be avoided entirely. Killing Ifrit like that probably wouldn't work in pre-renewal though, as Kasa and Salamander unfortunately don't get hitlocked by SG

@@squirreluh Btw, you're already very familiar with hitlocking. Fire Wall is 199 Aspd which hitlocks every boss monster in the game regardless of distance, 12 hits at 199 Aspd = 0.24 seconds of hitlock. Except Undead and Fire monsters of course. I'm not sure why that is, but I would guess it's something like them having Endure effect vs Fire Wall hits.

​@@zynzynzyn I guess that's another way to hitlock lol. Now that I think about it, I do think I remember hitlocking certain mobs by autoattacking with an archer. Never thought to do it with storm gust in your video. Another interesting thing about firewalling undead/fire monsters, they usually consume less hits of firewall when moving west or south, and more hits when moving north or east. So it's like there's more hitlocking going on when going north/east. I don't know why that is but it's something I've observed. It was most noticable with zombie/skel prisoners, where one mob pretty much always consume the whole wall when moving east, but leaves some walls behind when moving west. The directional behavior seems similar to ice wall where nonboss mobs in ice wall can't escape when moving north/east, but can when moving south/west. There's probably more things that are coded with that kind of behavior. Oh yeah, diagonal firewalling has directional behavior like this where you can only perform it on certain sides. Might be the same thing I noticed with undead mobs except it's used on boss mobs. That'll be a video to make if I ever get on an aegis pre-renewal server again.

@@squirreluh Nothing comes to mind on the Undead/Fire monsters and movement direction in relation to Firewall. Was only aware of that mattering for Icewall trapping. Very interesting observation, though. I'll see if I can find any more info about that. I've only ever seen diagonal Firewalling done with the aid of Icewalls to guide monsters into it, cool stuff. There's some video guides by a jRO player on how to mob and kill like that, which I've 'linked' below. Nicovideo IDs: sm9356693 sm9356456 sm9322576 And I've just remembered another relatively unknown exploit. A friend and I once killed walled BBs back on Valkyrie server by spamming Status Recovery on them and using Double Strafe from afar. We only did this for a few BBs though, so unsure if it works vs every monster. I'm guessing the rate at which SR needs to be spammed may depend on monster stats, whichever stat influences how quickly they react to a rude attack. We used 2 Priests and that was enough for what we managed to summon. I've tried this in Renewal and it seems to have been fixed. If I remember, we borrowed this idea from a video on iROWiki of a jRO party killing Satan Morroc using this method. Unfortunately that video was hosted on a now defunct site and I hadn't started downloading videos as of then, so that has been lost to time. I've looked through hundreds of pages on Nicovideo hoping it was rehosted there too, but no such luck.
