So glad to see that the lapped runners *stayed on the pole*. By far the safest way to conduct the race.

With such a large field, once lapped, you should have to run in the second lane or drop out. Way too much traffic!!

Records breaking are unrelated to the to the shoes. Clearly they’re promoting Nike (given the location), but athletes are training much more efficiently than in the past. They both can go run in the shoes and see there’s minimal change to the speed. Recovery has likely improved because of the shoes, but speed is due to training.

RUS. Svetlana Masterkova at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, won two (2) individual Gold medals. that's more than any U.S athlete at the U.S track and field home Olympics. Svetlana Masterkova - distance 800 meters Gold🏅medals. distance 1500 meters Gold🏅medals.

Great run, however... Why do they showboat and not run through the line?! If she held her form and ran through the line, she more than likely would have run high 21.5s

This was one of the most exciting competitions of the Olympic USA Trials. I really like to see that the women's competition is more exciting and even more so when there are so many favorites to win.

Ato Boldon: "It means that SMU and DAS will look at this race and go 'ok, we got some company'"....nice of him to ignore the Jamaicans, one of whom blew the socks off everyone in Tokyo, including Gabby.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for uploading the FULL RACE. NBC Sports couldn't be bothered uploading the full, unedited race to KZbin... To KZbin where there are NO time constraints or ad break broadcast limitations. Nope. Instead NBC edits down one of the greatest 10,000m Olympic Trials Finals to a 3-lap hot-take. THREE stupid laps of a 10k final! Long live piracy. You're fighting the good fight.

41 came out. 41? I'm not an Olympic runner, but I have run a distance on a track. How many knew they would even be close? They run for a living! I think I'm not unrealistic nor selfish in asking how many seconds faster could Sisson, and maybe the top ten possibly, have been, if there weren't another 3/4 of the ENTIRE runners on the track!? Yes, like I wondered about a few seconds for myself... For the majority, I know you WANT it, but you did make the race a few meters longer. 41. How many CAN you run? They know how fast they are. That's what I'm saying.

It is the best for American women ever at the Olympic trials in history, of course African and European have faster world records not sure if they go all out at the trials. Because you need to save yourself for the actual olympic race. What made this more special is it was hot and just a trial
