One last thing and I’ll stop bothering you, Charlie’s last unhinged song is SO good but what’s amazing is it’s also all improv! They include some of the other songs /takes he did in the bloopers and I can’t wait for you to see!

One interesting point abt them reusing the “call me maybe” song is that they actually reuse a long of the songs they buy rights to during any episode, either for end credits or for another gag. They talk on the podcast abt how expensive the rights to some of these songs are (sometimes like 8-10k) so they either can’t get the song they want sometimes or end up paying for it and use it as MUCH as possible. To me, this is another example of limitation forcing creative genius. Because they want to stretch resources, they come up with more creative solutions to problems that end up being delightfully unexpected and hilarious. Very much like the guys from Monty Python had to do for the Holy Grail. Have you seen that movie btw? If not maybe we could do a member watch along one day!

One of my favorite lines that I didn’t notice until several watches was when Mac just quietly adds that “there’s a timing concern” 12:29. It’s worded so calmly and gently that it’s so out of place for their regular speech and kills me
