Oh--from the title, I thought you were going to recommend a brand of tip for the pool cue. That's what I'm looking for advice with. I see that's not the kind of "tip" you meant. Good video though.

That 10ball crazy combo by SVB is always my favorite, great choice. He had another one where he hit it off the short rail over a ball or 2 and combo's the 10 as well. After the one you showed Alex says "You do that again I quit lol" it's funny

2:37 I started playing pool in a local club in my hometown. I met this guy there, his name‘s Thomas Engert. Well…. It‘s the opponent of Strickland in this clip. He owned a pool bar where I started playing as a teenager years ago. I did not know he is a famous pool player. 😅

I was like Strickland when I was a young man. I didn't even like myself, plus I didn't want to end up in prison for fighting, so I found Zoloft. Two felonies by the time I was 23, none in the 32 years since I started taking it.

12:15. This is the best shot in the entire compilation. Though, I'm not convinced that most players are even good enough to call these shots. Most of them are based on the parameters of the rules. Luck. I've been playing since the mid 90's. I've seen all of these shots many, many times & done these shots in so many ways. So many variations. Geometry & physics make this game so much fun for me. It is disappointing to see common shots being applauded. Especially after all these years. I honestly thought it would've progressed much more than it has. Then again, there's only so many things you can do on a table, right?😏

Look, you need to start off practicing straight in shots with a lot of left or right and hard enough so there's no masse, to learn how much deflection there is. Until you can do that, you don't understand deflection. And once you can, you need to practice that straight in shot with speed and spin to see how far you can reliably control how much deflection. Again, you need to hit it hard enough so it doesn't swerve. As far as swerve, that'll take a LIFETIME of playing on different equipment and in different humidity to cultivate the touch of swerve, which of course requires understanding deflection as well. The first thing you need to be able to do is pocket balls with center ball, really, but most beginners don't hit the CB accurately enough to know if they accidentaly deflected / put side spin on the ball. This is why it's crucial to practice by yourself, at a rate of shots fast enough to accumulate a massive database.

Does shaft diameter really matter for your game ?
@EricCalvinChristensen
@EricCalvinChristensen 14 күн бұрын
Yes, smaller diameter is more spin. I use a 12.5 mm cuetec cynergy playing shaft, but a lot of good players use an 11.8 mm shaft

I know Shane Van Boening and played against him when he was 18-21 , i lost almost every time by the way. He is legally deaf so that is why he did not react when the ref called foul and told him to stop and had to waive his hand.

Thank you for the video. A clear explanation of the one rail kicking system. Although, isnt the third "rule" the same as the first? Even though the cue ball isnt directly on a diamond line, dont you just divide the distance by 1/2. Thanks again for the video
@MrCueBall
@MrCueBall 13 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment and opinion. First rule works in scenario when both balls are placed on the same line parallel to the rail where we are hitting the cue ball.
