Thank you for taking time not just talking about Kenya/Nairobi's experience but also in comparison to Lagos and Abuja, that was different. Kuddos

One thing I have witnessed is Nigerians are not afraid of speaking about the good side of other countries bcos they do not have low self esteem unlike Kenyan youtubers whose cultural shocks are more of the bad side of the country they are talking about so that they can look better 😂. It’s funny.

Talking of the weather Mt kenya region is more cold than Nairobi because of the snow on top of the mountain. Anybody who comes from the region feels Nairobi hot.

There's something I still don't understand, what happens if you want to relocate before the year or two years ends? Do they refund your money?(Rent in Nigeria)
@adeolaharold3 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment. This depends on the landlord and the agreement you signed. In a lot of cases, you may not get your money back, but some landlords are nice enough to give you the remaining months, although starting from the month they get someone to rent the apartment.

Talking about molue instead of BRT in 2024 invalidates this video
@adeolaharold3 ай бұрын
Thank you for bringing this up. This is absolutely true and I was really pained when I realised I missed this out in the video. I think trying to compare the matatu culture in Nairobi and the yellow bus drivers in Lagos got me carried away. However, thank you once again for bringing this up which is very valid, considering BRT is a more advanced transport setup in Lagos.

I was disappointed too when she didn't mention BRT. However, tbvh it doesn't invalidate the video. She did absolutely great.

In terms of rent, it is financial system issue. In Kenya mortgage facilities are widely available hence house ownership is far wider and as such competition is wider so landlords cannot dictate rental payment. The higher the amount one pays in advance is advantageous for a landlord whereas a lower amount favours the tenant!!

Greetings! Thanks for your commentary on how you see Kenya compared to Nigeria. One thing I’d mention and maybe you could touch on is the fact that Kenya has some of the best coastal life (beaches) in Africa - and the general public has unfettered access; meaning, NO ONE has to pay for access. I don’t know if the same can be said of Nigeria.
@adeolaharold5 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. Unlike kenya in Nigeria we have to pay for access to most of the beaches.

Hi, Your videos are really lovely. Please how can I contact you directly? I recently got a job offer in Nairobi and I'd like to know how much it cost you for your accomodation as well as the rough estimate of what it cost to set up your apartment. I understand that this might be a very personal question but please I really need some direction so I can plan appropriately and negotiate with the company on an appropriate relocation allowance. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Warm regards
