because u discard before the buy phase....the first ship part u bought can only be activated if u stay at base? its useless otherwise right?

26:00 I could understand that Vikings do like to eat a variety of food, and that the same food type would be wasted. But realistically, I can imagine Viking warriors would like more mead that they can possibly drink (and would not waste one drop of it!). So I think a fun house rule would be that multiple mead can be placed sideways.

Altho there are many rules channels that explain the rules just as well, it is the full and partial playthroughs that are most useful as you ca nse the rule interpretations in action. Invaluable resource. I just wish this was a full playthrough. Just cos I love your videos.

I believe it ships to Canada, though the price may be high. I am unsure though, sorry.

Yeah, I 100% understand your position. It's the unfortunate reality of international shipping for a small publisher. I do know several stores have purchased copies to sell outside of the US. Do you mind telling me what country you live in?
@JonGetsGames2 күн бұрын
CORRECTIONS: 12:03 - This gives 6 money and 3 resources of your choice. 18:07 - King Frederick can go down to 0 coins, stone, and grain. 40:53 - I only spent 2 money, instead of 3. 43:21 - The game ends if there aren't enough edicts to fill the 3 active spaces, not the 6 total spaces on the board.

Shipping doubles the cost for me, but I might end up getting it anyway.

I'm not sure if Jon will see it (or remember it?) but at 13:31 - if I'm not mistaken red would not remove his warrior right? Because yellow needs more warriors than ANY other player to "deal damage" yes?

Thanks for the video, but there are still a few questions that I may not have seen on BGG: 1) It is also not entirely clear from the rules whether, for example, the regions of Allaria and Northern Tayveria are connected by sea, if there are cities in these regions? This means that when the Attack action is performed on General Allaria, for example, will he be able to swim from the city of Allaria to the city of Northern Tyveria? Or are the seas on both sides of the map not considered adjacent? 2) I still haven’t figured out whether I should remove units during a fight if I move more than six units into a region, according to the rules it says that if when placing more than six, then the extra ones need to be removed, but what to do in case of an attack. When can I move any number of units from adjacent regions to a region? Can I remove unnecessary units after a fight? And if there are 2 different factions in a region, do I remove extra units after all the fights in the region? 3) Did I understand correctly that I force the dragon to kick only when he is completely wounded and receives a new wound when there is nowhere to put it? Or do I force him to retreat when I wound him in the last available cell? 4) For example, Faceless Tyverians have an Attack action - “Choose a non-Tyverian region with the highest power tokens that are located next to the Tyverian region. Place a unit there, then move other units from nearby regions and start a fight.” What if there are no power tokens on the map at all, but there is a neighboring uncontrolled region with neutral units, does Tyveria attack these neutral units, given that there are no power tokens there?

Great teach as always. I loved how everything came together when you built your first keep. The moving-ships part seems lackluster since players can stay where they are allowing them to further their agenda more easily by exploiting the location and making combos. I wonder what it would be like if players were required to move their ships at least one space at the beginning of their turn but also corners were available and had to pay for entering and leaving a corner/edge in the same turn and had access to the adjacent edges when in corner spaces (nearest cards and allies and buy/sell options) so not to make their life that much harder. BTW, @40:52 you paid 2 money instead of 3 when trading.

Here's my list of titles that intrigue me the most. Top 3 choices are Beyond The Horizon, Black Forest and Iliad. Black Forest on Uwe Rosenberg's reputation alone. The other two might turn out to be must buys, especially Beyond The Horizon if it's as good as Beyond The Sun. Next tier of games include Treos, narrowly missing out on a top tier selection, as well as Free Ride USA and Tower Up. I'm glad they're making Free Ride more user friendly in the USA version. The mechanism in Tower Up where you end up helping others ( but not too much) might be interesting. That was going to be my list, 3 top picks and 3 maybes but it's like when I stop in at the game store, there's always more choices so yeah I'll be checking out Barony, Panda Spin, Resafa and Founders of Reyvick. Maybe a few others, always looking for a twist on trick taking. Panda Spin stood out because of Carl Chudyk. Totally agree with you about Barony. The original was a near miss for me, hoping there's an update of rules or scoring that convinces me to get this version. I'll need more info about the other two but looking forward to learning more about them.
