I remember David Attenborough delivering his report whilst standing in a cave up to his shins bit bat crap. The stench and ammonia was so strong he was barely able to take breath, but ever the consummate professional, he battled his way through. I always wonder if the producer of that programme enjoyed some bat poop in his coffee as a result?

Oh the memories! This vid is so funny but I could not willingly expose my skin to nettles like that. It’s not so bad just after the sting but it can burn and prickle for hours after, even overnight. I do admire them though, and to watch them eject their seeds on a hot summer day is mesmerising. They make a good soup and good steamed veg and fabric and dried they have many uses.

Dude was abducted by aliens, subjected to a medical examination, and released. None of his squid buddies will believe him. And that's the part that hurts, really.
