I was forcing mine out the first couple of times I disassembled it. I kept telling myself there had to be an easier way to do it but no takedown video I watched mentioned anything about it. They just effortlessly pulled their bolt carrier group out. Something else I noticed,a symptom of forcing the bolt out and forcing it back in, is that the piston spring will not sit flush where the stock goes on. This was another clue that something wasn't right. I watched another takedown video where the guy mentioned optionally removing the housing and the charging handles, and I noticed that I didn't have that option. I rewatched that video frame by frame and then found the charging handle wasn't fully forward. I wondered what would happen if I pushed it forward, and there was a loud click, and suddenly my disassembly/reassembly woes were gone. I wish I would have found this video before I spent four hours learning about this the hard way. The SCAR 17 is my very first firearm purchase, so the intimidation factor of not putting it together right was really high. I didn't want to break a $4400 weapon.

I actually ended up trading this 338 for credit on my SCAR. The 338 is pricey to shoot and i don’t really have a practical spot at the moment for LPS shooting. I definitely want to get into it though. Thank you for watching, and for the Sub.

I used to debate who was worst glock or 1911 spazes. Until literally today when i say wilson combats video claiming free racking or realeasing your slide without rounds in it will ruin your 1911. At that second i was convinced 1911 ppl are WORSE. because thwy claim NOTHING is better then a 1911 while simultaneously saying practically anything can ruin the gun. Atleast glocks are bragged about and literally are, the most durable thing ever and we glock owners actually are not afraid of damaging our guns.

These are a special edition Meister Manufaktur run. They’re fairly difficult to come by. Just google Meister Manfaktur Q5. They have a few different finishes, some more exclusive than others, which also means more money.

@@IHamDoggwhat about the PDP compact….I feel like people adjust to .22 so quickly after they realize the recoil isn’t bad and then graduate to a 9mm. Then you don’t have to spend money on both. Unless .22 is the preferred carry caliber, but yes, Germans make great firearms. My MP5 is in my top 5 not just because I’m a fan boy, but it’s truly a work horse and laser accurate!

I do love the 308 for the SCAR platform. But yes the FDE is the newer generation with the NRCH. So I wanted my preferred caliber in both colors. Plus, they’re both configured a little bit differently, they both can shoot close to mid range, but after a certain distance, I’m better with the ACOG cuz my vision is crap and red dots to me look a little blurry. The black has the EOTech, laser battery cap, and light so its primary function is closer quarters. Also has a 3X mag that can flip in and out for a little extra if you need to hit targets further out. The FDE is opposite if you will, with the ACOG for medium to longish range, and a RMR mounted up top for closer targets, which I need to change for an offset mount. Dropping it from shoulder height to aim with the RMR feels goofy, and the bore axis relative to the red dot sits too low. But I will add a 16 eventually. Thanks for watching!
