Im 37 and my first road bike i owned was a cb750 that i turned into a cafe. I learned everything i know from my dad who was a classic hotrodder born in 1950 so my opinion is probably very biased in that i truly believe this fella cheated in several ways. 1 In my opinion a cafe needs to be built by the guy whos riding it and 2 he got to do air pods without the nightmare of jetting it to match the excess air coming it! Very nice work though

if it’s for the Bmw K, you can order them online, from cafe4racer.eu he also sells on ebay. I cannot get the metric tubing required to bend that hoop. Or Google BMW K100 frame hoop. 👍

Chris I think it's amazing that you did this yourself but the average café builder does not have access to such tools. Also why not follow the line of the bottom of the tank with the bottom of the seat and make it straight across. Lift the front of the tank a bit and the back of the seat a bit and you are set.

Hi thanks for watching! It's not meant as a "DIY" video, but more of a "how its made" video. Seats are now available on my website to purchase, so the average builder doesn't need to do all the work themself, they can just order one. The seat was shaped this way because that's what the customer wanted. 👍

Maybe Measure your intake. I don’t remember exactly what size it was. This customer had ordered them ahead of time and we just did the work for him.

I know this video is a little old at this point but i just did a similar thing to my 650, the only thing I don't know what to do with is MAF sensor (you are holding it at 5:55 in the video ) do you remember where you located it? thanks.

Its not a MAF its an air temp sensor. It’s located between the pod filters now. We live in California so it’s always about the same here, could be an issue in crazy climates. But a computer remap is always recommended. This Customer is super happy with the new pep of the bike and he rides it daily.
