As someone who was I fluenced by the early women's movement. I fear that my view of men at the time may have had a negative effect on my son. I was in a difficult relationship as were some of my friends and we were quite vocal in our disdain of men. I was quite young at time. At this point (late 2024) in the Post Office Horizon Inquiry, let us hope that the legal profession will never again be able to take the line "the computer cannot be wrong". But the issue with software in cars is a frightening one, where only the manufacturers know how to collect the data, and they can't interpret it because they didn't write it.

Any professional IT person, and I am one, would laugh this out of court. For any computer system to be said to be infallible is ridiculous. And especially a financial system which is distributed, i.e. you have computers in the sub-post offices, computers in the point of sale terminals, computers at the head office collecting everything, plus a network in between them. There are no errors there in this complex setup? There are no possible issues if the network goes down mid-transaction? Or one of the computers throws an error? Overheats? Has a bad power connection? It beggars belief that all the complaints about the system were not collated and acted upon and fixed.

Therapy is only part of the solution, understanding why violence happens and why people stay in these relationship needs to be explored. The circle of abuse begins with trauma. Trauma needs specialised support.

My son is unwell and calls me saying he is depressed. A mo th ago we were fixing up a house together, I paid him. A month later he sells 2 home made beds and thinks he is on to something as he's gotten many orders. Next a complaint of the legbroken and he hasn't a dollar to refund the customer. It bothers me that he chooses to live on his bottom dollar eating in restaurants, Not paying bills, Enjoying life. Then when one thing goes wrong he falls down and can't get up again without help. They just don't care about men in prison! Another example - male rapists in female prisons has been in the headlines over the last few years. Many oppose this - but why? The women in prison need to be protected from these men is their assertion! So the male rapists are sent to male prisons instead, where the other male prisoners are at risk of being victimised too! Why don't these other male prisons get the same level of concern and implied protection that the female prisoners were given? But what about equality or Equal protection I hear you ask? Women are protected by excluding the perpetrator from their establishment. Men are not and receive much lesser protection, if any at all, as a result. Is this the equality that women demanded? How to resolve it? However you slice and dice the prison populations there will always be some subgroup who is at risk from these offenders. So to achieve equality either you don't jail these offenders or have completely unsegregated prisons. Which option will be acceptable to women do we think?
